You decide it's best to keep following instructions. At least the Lady of the house seems organized in comparison to Max.

Walking back to the front hall you're called to an adjoining living room. In them sit 3 large padded couches a nice coffee table a few expensive book shelves, a large tv and of course Mrs. Fairgaurd. Stepping in rather hesitantly forward you approach her and she gestures you to sit in a couch next to hers.

"Sit dear, we have things that I must discuss with you,"

Taking a seat you wait for her to begin.

"It is clear whats done is done and there is no getting rid of you, if you had a pack or family status they could dispute Max taking you as a mate but your mothers status as a near legal non entity makes that impossible. Normally as a foreigner you would fall under special provisions written to prevent clans from enforcing their laws on non-kin but your mothers 'near' non status does not deny the Lupan citizenship you gained when you went through the change and showed Kin traits. As for as the law is concerned you are mated to my husband and therefore part of my house. Now I will not force you to stay here but unfortunately if you intend to continue living in our country your actions and status will be considered to reflect on the house and the wolf clan law will apply to you and your finances."

"can't we just like.. divorce?" you ask.

"No no such legal structure, infact you are technically not married but more like an enforced fiancee. If you intend to remain in Lupa the marriage is mandatory and we will need to prepare you for that when it takes place at the next pack meet."

"Can I just live like at my dorm? and we pretend this never happened, I'm legally married but do my own thing."

Meril winces "Yes that is an option, the conditions are not identical but to some degree that's the condition that Olivia is living under. It is... some what frustrating, she is lucky that her former pack is so accommodating to her 'progressive' life style. I do not know what to think of you but I am hesitant to grant you such leniency, as I am forced to with her, beyond the fact you will be need to come to me for financial permissions having you loose form the house hold will harm our status, as the situation with Olivia has. She manages to deal with this issue though," she sighs deeply "what is essentially financial crimes."

"What does this have to do with fiances I don't understand I didn't sign anything or have much to take" you're getting worried how could this possibly makes sense.

"You don't own assets anymore. Your property belongs to the pack the pack grants me the right to manage the assets that would be considered 'ours' within the household. You are allowed to hold back about 5% of earnings for personal use for daily and incidental expenses but legally that money belongs to your pack too. All larger withdrawals would need to come from myself as head of the household for which I am held accountable by the pack."

"I don't own things anymore?"

"Under wolf clan law no. I'm not sure what the nature of your assets are for your international bank account and personal goods, they may revert to your family or you might be treated as an orphan where those are for me to move into a pack account. We will need to talk to a lawyer and I suppose your father after we have decided what to do with you."

"That's insane, you cant take my stuff"

She snaps her hand at you the same way she did when you came in. "I'm not interested in your opinion, this structure is similar among the wealthiest clans in Lupa. From my position I am not gaining anything, and I doubt you have anything to take, other than a management burden and a drain on house standing that will leave us poorer than when you first walked in. If you are concerned about scholarships or bursaries from your school don't be, conditions on those funds will require you to continue to be enrolled and that the pack and even clan funds make sure you have what you need to continue your education."

"So what does Olivia do?"

You're making her angry following this line, "her birth house is managing to get her funds and that pack bills me for an amount that is suspiciously close to what she she brings to our household 'for expenses accrued taking care of a member of your pack'. I am also certain that she is misreporting her income and has some foreign or illegal out of clan account, the nature of her self employment makes tracking that down and stopping it all too difficult and inviting further legal investigation additional shame to out house." she then looks at you very harshly, "needless to say you do not have a birth pack and will not be permitted to do the same by me."

Oh crap she seemed to be more open to accommodating you at the start, you guess it makes sense that this shame and status thing is a big deal when access to your own money relies on good standing with your extended family.

After an awkward silence she seems to calm down a bit "Now, I am prepared to have you in this house, make sure you complete your education and make the arrangements to find you a position in work that credits this house. I will tolerate no behaviour that will dishonour us, you must do your duty as a house breeder to credit the house and pack."

"Ok so I need to have a kid to stay here?"

"Kids. Continuously showing up at a pack meet without being pregnant or nursing would be a small disgrace and I will not take more of those"

"You want me to stay pregnant with your husbands kids? Forever?!"

"Well, it is a wife's obligation if she's still young enough but... It is sometimes prudent to forgo that mid career stream packs have begun to forget to notice such misbehaviour as a woman reaches her thirties" You recall Max complaining that's when the sex slowed down for them. Turns out social conventions become much softer when it come to things she does.

She moves the topic along before it can reflect on her 'misbehaviour'.

"With all that information about the nature of your position, do you have any further questions or have you made any concussions.
