Rest,but suddenly

It's worrisome that there's no safety measures you can take. Even though it's worrisome,you better sleep now.You want to reach the town as soon as you can and having Elizabeth's body tired is certainly not a good way to achieve that.

You woke up hearing some rustling noises outside the tent. It's still dark outside,but there's barely enough light for you to see.

Monsters? This is bad,human bodies aren't suited in fighting in the night. They can't even see in the dark.

You unsheathe your sword and prepare yourself for an attack. You carefully and quickly take a peek outside and spot a bunch of goblins outside. You're unsure how many of them there are,there's probably some more outside your field of vision from the direction of the sounds. It's probably a good idea to stay in the tent and wait for them to come in instead of rushing out without knowing how many there are.

Oh no,goblins are attacking so boldly at night? they usually don't attack camps .They're too cowardly to do so. Elizabeth's thoughts spill onto your mind.

What does that mean then? Then why do they attack? You try to inquire her while being cautious of the goblins.

This can only mean that their group has grown big. They must've been growing out of control for quite a while. Elizabeth says to you in her mind,clearly in a state of unease.

5 goblins rush into the tent not long after. It's hard to make out their equipment but it doesn't seem to be any different from previous goblins. But these ones don't seem as careless as the others. But you have to start attacking before they do,so you dash to the closest goblin and swing your sword down.

Your speed seems to surprise them,but they're capable of reacting. The goblin you aimed at moved it's head away from your attack,avoiding certain **** but got his shoulder slashed in the process,losing his arm and bleeds heavily. The others start hitting you with their wooden clubs. Fortunately your heavy armor reduces the damage,but it only covers your chest and doesn't really offer protection anywhere else. You punch one of the goblins and try to get some distance,but not without being hit by more attacks from the goblins.

With you getting some distance the goblins are now unable to gang up on you like before. That was quite a mistake,better not do that again. But there's too many of them,one of them is bleeding to **** but handling the rest is still going to be hard. And it's likely that there's still more outside. Escaping doesn't seem to be an option,killing as many of them as possible seems to be the only option.

The goblins jump at you,you try to slash them as a response. Slashing through two of the goblins,killing them on the spot. But your broken posture allowed the rest to strike you in the head. The impact from their clubs disorient your vision,you desperately swing your sword around in hopes of hitting them. On the corner of your vision you see even more goblins swarming in.

Damn it,how many of them are there!? I can't deal with this many of them!

Your body soon fell down,failing to overcome the goblins attack. Your vision turns blank after your head was hit several times. And with that you lost control over Elizabeth's body. You also feel Elizabeth's consciousness fade.Your true body is still connected with her flesh,and you remain conscious.However you cannot perceive what's happening outside her body.

Should I leave? No,the goblins would spot me and kill me. My only option is to remain hidden for now. I've underestimated their threat because they're weak individually. I must remember this mistake.

This movement..They're carrying her somewhere. Let's see where to,perhaps then I'll find a way to get back at them.
