Relics of the past

The next day, you stood out onto the landing platform along with Padme and Ahsoka. While waiting for your ship to be ready, you held your empress in your arms. She will remain at the capital to attend to business while you were away.

“Don’t bother to inform the senate, this won’t be to long of a trip.” You told her.

“You have nothing to worry from them. I know how to placate the masses. Isn't that why you leave the politics to me.” Padme purred in your embrace.

“Of course, contact me whenever you need me.”

“I will, do enjoy those sluts that you have bowing to your whim.” She kissed you. “And I’ll be here for you when you return.” After a few more kisses to you and one kiss blown In Ahsoka’s direction. The two of you head towards the Lambda transport shuttle ready to take off. Standing in front of the entry ramp was Captain Juno Eclipse. A very beautiful and capable pilot who served as a TIE squadron commander with over 20 successful combat missions. She wore a tight black officers uniform.

“Your majesty, lady Ahsoka, We are ready to depart.” Juno spoke standing at attention.

"Than we shall proceed to Byss." You replied. Boarding the vessal behind juno. Her hips hypnotically swaying.

“You sure know how to pick em master.” Ahsoka whispered beside you.

“Captain Eclipse certainly knows how to make space travel less boring.” You commented. Juno had probably recognized what you meant and smiled at your approval.

With the ramp closed, Juno lifted the shuttle off the platform. The wings unfolded as the shuttle took off away from the cityscape and to space. With a squad of four royal guard TIE interceptors following close behind, the preset hyperspace coordinates were set and with the pull of the lever the ship disappeared from coruscant space.

Byss was located in the deep core near the center of the galaxy. Only accessible from its own hyperspace lane connecting it from Imperial center. The world was chosen by Palpatine to be a secret throne world for the galactic empire. The former emperor planned to corrupt the world with his dark side energy so that he could maintain his power.

‘Pity he never got the chance’ you thought.

Instead under you leadership, you turned the planet into a beautiful thriving paradise. Allowing colonists access to the planet, It’s people became grateful of this new world that they could settle and start a new life. Making Byss a hotbed of loyal imperial citizens.

“Citadel, this is SK-1 requesting permission to land, priority one.” Juno transmitted to the planet after entering Byss space. Greeted by a couple of Star Destroyers patrolling the area.

“SK-1, you are clear to proceed, We have been informed and are ready for your arrival.”

And with that your shuttle began its decent to the planet. Entering the lower atmosphere, the sound of TIE Fighters buzzed around you. They were flying parade style heralding your arrival. Eventually the city below came into view. The citadel was a huge complex in the center. It housed your personal legions. As well as your eternal followers. A landing platform was lit up for Juno to begin her landing sequence. The wings folded up and the gears lowered for a smooth landing.

The hatch lowered with exhaust blowing from the ships vents. Your royal guard always stepping out first, than came you and your apprentice Ahsoka and Juno side by side. Your view was of thousands of Stormtroopers standing at attention along with officers and other base personal. There was a strait path leading to the main installation. A pyramid shaped structure towering over the others.

But walking towards you along the path, we’re a group of hooded figures. They were your Eternal Adepts who ruled the planet on your behalf. Three of them at the head removed their hoods revealing the faces of Aayla Secura, Barriss Offee, and Shaak Ti. These three former Jedi who perished during order 66 were revived to serve your new order as teachers and your top agents. They served at your pleasure without question. Their lives before serving you are now and forever gone.

“Welcome master, your presence was missed greatly here on Byss.” Said Aayla when the three bowed at your feet.

“Rise ladies, It is good to see the citadel again, but I want to focus on our lifeform.” You said.

The three rose up and began moving towards the citadel. Entering the security doors and walking into a grand hall as large as the Jedi temple’s halls. Giant columns held up the structure with Imperial banners flying from above.

“Ahsoka informed me that she recovered it from some smugglers. Do we know where they got it from?” You asked.

“Unknown, were holding the smugglers for questioning but we thought examining our discovery first took priority.” Shaak Ti added.

“What do we know about it?” You ask.

“The device dates back to the time of the Mandalorian wars, for something that old, it’s a very advanced device.” Said Barriss.

In a few moments, you and your entourage were headed to the labs hidden below the citadel. Heavily guarded by stormtroopers, auto turrets, and a handful of eternal acolytes. Upon entering the lab, your eyes laid upon the black capsule shaped device. Hooked up to various forms of monitoring equipment and a few medical and scanner droids are standing by. The capsule had no view to what’s inside. You placed one hand on it. It felt very cold, colder than the air around you.

“Remarkable, it has persevered a life-form for so long...” Aayla commented.

A possibly dangerous one at that.” Ahsoka commented. Barriss nodded in aggreement.

Shaak Ti spoke up. “I think we can all agree that we should proceed with cau—“

“Silence.” You ordered, both hands on the object and eyes shut. The four looked at you.

“Master?” Ahsoka asked concerned.

“I’m sense two individuals inside.” You whisper.

The others looked at you with a little bit of disbelief. The capsule was not that big to house two lifeforms. Regardless they kept their objections to themselves and let you continue.

“The first one is calm, asleep...and the other I can’t see...the **** is very strong...but there is a darkness. It waits patiently.” You conclude. Your hands leave the capsule. Ahsoka approached your left side.

“Open it.”

Ahsoka looked at you cautiously, you understood her concerns but you were determined to end this mystery. You nodded and turned to the others. Barriss complied and stepped towards a nearby control console and tapped a few buttons. The machinery around the capsule started beeping. after a few seconds, the capsule doors depressurized. A few locks clicked open loudly and the door slowly opened.
