Redhook enters the fray

You bash an attacker to unconsciousness as Redhook takes his place in front of you. The others each have two attackers to fend off alone.

Ugh, why’d he hav’ta choose me to fight. He seems a lot more nimble than the rest. Gonna be a hard kill.

True to what you expected, he moves like lightning. PLUNK PLUNK PLUNK. The hook meets your shield several times over as you are **** onto the defensive.

Damnit, there’s no way I can get an attack in! Not without taking an attack.

PLUNK PLUNK PLUNK. You block several more attacks, feeling yourself begin to tire.

I have to attack! At this rate, my shield arm’ll falter.

Just as you ready your mace, the **** stops. You peek out from behind the shield and see the twisted jester on the ground, a solid block of ice encasing his wicked hook. The weight of which has pinned him to the ground by the arm!

“Bleedin’ mage cunt!” he says struggling on the ground. It would seem the other two have had enough time to defeat the other assailants. Out of breath you quietly thank Frost for the save.

“I’m afraid you’ve lost Red.” Syvella says pacing over to the downed Jester.

“No-no-no wait, I can give ya anythin’ the gear and gold are yours my friend.”

“True, but I think it’s time we end this.”

“No don-!” His pleas are cut short as she draws a line across his throat with her blade. Coherent words are replaced with the gargling of blood.

“That was… brutal.” Frost says looking over the corpse. The ice surrounding his hook quickly dissipates.

“Best not to take anymore chances.” She says abruptly. “Come on, lets grab what we need and get out before anyone else shows up.”

You quickly loot the place and split the gold evenly. Syvella finds an old set of gear that once belonged to her, and dawns it. The party exits the building from a side door.

“Frost. You mentioned you had a way to return us to camp by teleportation?” Syvella inquires.

“Oh, right!” Frost perks up. “Follow me and I can take us to a shop with the materials to teleport us back to camp.”
