Ready

"Excellent." The goddess said as she gathered the cards into a neat pile and tapped on the top of them three times. The deck began to glow and the cards floated up into the air circling around each other in a dance that grew faster and faster until the cards formed into a ring.

"Well, isn't this an interesting world you have created for yourself." The goddess said as she showed me an overhead view of my drop zone.

"Now, before I can re-life you I need you to answer one more question." The goddess laid out four cards for me. "How do you want to come back?"
I studied the cards carefully, knowing that this was an important decision.

1. Human: "You will come back as a baby and go through learning to walk and toilet training all over again. You have a new life as part of a noble family with a powerful legacy backed by the might of an ancient estate. As a child, your memories of your previous life will be sharp, but will fade as your body develops. Be warned that should you come back in this form, you will be mortal. Immortality can be achieved, but it will require extensive cultivation."
2. Orc: "You will come back as part of The Great Green. Your memories of your old life will be hazy at first, but as you grow strong and hard and become a greater vessel of Green, your memories of your previous lives will return to you until all of your past lives become open to you. Should you die, you will have the opportunity to respawn into a fresh body. Be warned. Greenskin races are susceptible to mind-control magics. Though The Great Green is eternal and indomitable, individual imp, goblin, orc, and troll bodies are susceptible to domination of their occupant souls."
3. Dragon: "You can be reborn as an adult in an imperishable body made of more magic than matter. Your draconic form will retain all of your old memories without issue. Be warned. As a dragon, you will be feared by all and hunted by many. You will be seen as an object of worship by elves and monsters as you are scorned by humanity."
4. The card is turned face down: "take your chances and try something different."
