You type a nickname into the pokeball letting your pokemon know his new name then release it, doing a perfect recoil catch just like Ash did. "Jack go." The Pikachu lands and looks around confused for a moment then turns to look at you. Without hesitation you say "Jack, quick." He just looks at you then Blue yells "Charmy ember"

Suddenly the Pikachu sees the wisdom in your words moving quickly around as Blue yells ember... until suddenly Charmy fails to ember "Jack thunder." Jack takes almost psychotic glee in rendering both trainer and pokemon into twitching masses on the ground. you walk over and take Charmy's ball, summon him into it, use a potion on him, and kick Blue "Better luck next year asshole. Come along Jack." Jack nods and tails you out Ash commenting on the two balls on your belt and you smile and wave at him as you go.
