Rina: So…

The three of us sat around the living room coffee table. Nia and I joined at the hip on the near side of the couch, and Rina across from us in a lounge chair.

Rina: You two want me to f-...have sex with Nia while Emery watches us?

We nodded in response, both of us burning a blindingly bright red.

Rina: Are you sure you want to do something like this? Emery? Nia? I always thought you guys were the wholesome, vanilla couple of the campus.

Nia: Hehehe… Being real with you Rina, we’ve been roleplaying this stuff a few times a month for a year now.

Emery: We’ve considered this for quite a while.

Rina: Woah, you guys are kinkier than I expected…W-why pick me though?

Emery: I was serious about what I said earlier, Rina. We think you’re a really cool, trustworthy girl.

A small grin crawled up her face, then something seemed to dawn on her and she looked at us with a minor alarm.

Rina: But…uh…do you both know about my…situation?

Again we nodded our heads.

Emery: Not the specifics, but we both know you have a penis.

She stiffened at the word and swallowed heavily; a grim expression cast on her face as she turned away from us.

Rina: Did you pick me…because of that?

Emery: Not entirely, but it was something we considered as a plus.

Nia and Rina both looked at me in surprise.

Nia: Em!

Emery: What?

Nia: I told you people have been creepy with her about it before. She’s asking if we’re picking her because she has a d-...penis.

Emery: I understand, but I didn’t want to say something that would make her think we were lying to her.

I turned towards our prospective partner.

Emery: Sorry, we shouldn’t be talking about you like you’re not here.

Emery: What I meant was your situation is something we thought about seriously, it just wasn’t the reason we asked. We wanted to ask you because of who you are as a person and your different facets. The you that we know is attractive to us in every way, not just the physical or sexual sides.

This time it was Rina who turned bright red. She looked down and held her hands clasped in her lap.

Nia: It’s okay if you want to say no, Rina. We’re not gonna stop being your friends over it or anything.

Emery: And it’s okay if you’re just not sure. Take as much time as you need to think it through.

Rina slumped back into the chair — eyes staring blankly at the ceiling, fingers tapping nervously across her thighs.

Rina: If this was before summer started, I would have said yes in a heartbeat…

A dour expression painted her. She looked like she was holding a lot back.

Rina: I had a…complicated relationship thing happen with a hook-up like three months ago, and it’s got me feeling conflicted about this…

Nia: I’m sorry. Like we said Rina, it’s all good if y-

Rina interjected and held up her hand.

Rina: Real talk, I want to say yes. I do. You’re both really hot, and more importantly you’re fun to be around. I'd have to be crazy to turn down a chance like this, ‘specially with my bad luck lately.

Rina: But…this kind of thing can ruin people’s relationships. I really, really don’t want to do that to you two. Are you two sure?

Nia and I couldn’t help but smile between ourselves at her earnestness. She was worrying in the same way we were before. Rina was definitely the right choice for this.

Nia flashed her a cocky grin.

Nia: Hehehe, you think you got what it takes to get in the way of our love?

Emery: No offense Rina, but it’ll take a lot more than some swinging to break us up.

She seemed to loosen up at our playful retorts, and ribbed us back in turn.

Rina: Heheh, you saying I’m not good enough? I’m a lot of woman; more than a couple of shorties like you can handle~.

Nia: Big talk for a girl who was so nervous she ran to the bathroom~. You might be the big bad basketball star, but you’re a softie on the inside~.

Nia adopted her frisky tone and leaned forward to show off some cleavage through her blouse.

Everyone had visibly relaxed now that it was clear we were mutually on edge. With that established, things seemed like they were finally able to heat up.
