Questions and Answers

Akira and Feya travelled side by side as they made their way through the thick forest. All they could see were trees and trees for as far as they could see. Akira wasn't worried however, it gave him plenty of time to get some more answers from Feya. Answers he desperately needed to know in order to survive in this world. one of the main questions that crossed his mind over and over was, what other type of creatures lived in this world? Would he get to meet sexy elvish girls and strange cat people and dragons and orcs and all the other types of creatures he had read from his stories. Rather than ponder over the possibilities, he decided to ask Feya.

"Well" Faye began. "I don't know"

"Huh?" Akira exclaimed, genuinely taken aback.

"Like I said earlier, I was only summoned by my mistress a short while ago. When a pixie is summoned, we know basic things, like how to read and talk, we also know that our main purpose, is to serve those who summoned us. Other than that, we might as well be new born babies in this world."

"Oh, I'm sorry" Akira said, looking away from Feya. "But how did you know about where we are then?"

"Before I was sent to find you, I spent a few days with the mistress, learning all about the regions of the world and a few other vital bits of information, but other than that, I'm simply here to aid you with whatever journey you take. Hopefully that journey leads you to helping my mistress".

"Is there anything else you can tell me about her?" Akira asked, wondering who the generous stranger was who saved him from ****.

"Not really, she asked me not to tell you most things, like how she looks, what her name is, where she is or what trouble she's in"

"But...how am I supposed to help her if I know nothing about her?" Akira asked, genuinely confused about his strange quest he was given.

"She told you where she was didn't she?" Feya proclaimed.

Akira thought back to the voice he heard while he was dying back in his old world.

"Find me in Almatis"

He remembered, the voice, he remembered how soothing it sounded.

"Almantis" Akira said aloud.

"Yess, exactly" Feya said with a little clap at the end.

"So where is Almantis?"

"No idea" Feya said, more happy than she meant to sound.

Akira thought for a moment. He appreciated that this stranger saved his life, but she wasn't making it easy for him to assist her.

"I guess...we need to figure out exactly where we are, from there, we can figure out the best plan to help your mistress" Akira said, feeling very unconfident in himself. "Oh, what about my abilities that you mentioned".

"What about them?"

"Well, what can I do? How do I use them?"

"Your abilities will sort of, appear overtime. There's no telling how long it will take, or what the abilities will do, or even how many abilities you might gain, but whatever you get, I'm sure they will help us".

It was hard not to feel the positivity radiating from Feya. Even if she wasn't being super helpful with information.

After about an hour of walking, Akira began to feel tired. The sun had passed it's half way point in the sky and was now on it's decent path. Akira was wondering how much further he had to walk but he suddenly had an idea.

"Hey, Feya, I don't suppose you could fly up and check our progress could you?"

"Oh, that's a good idea!" She proclaimed, before swiftly flying up above the tree line.

She was up above the trees for a good minute or so before Akira heard a faint scream. Feya then came speeding down back toward Akira and quickly hiding behind him.

"What's wrong?" he asked, suddenly in a panic.

"A bird" Feya said with a flight whimper in her voice.

"A bird?" Akira said confused.

"Yeh, a bird tried to eat me"

"Oh, I'm sorry, I hadn't even thought about that, i guess we have to be more careful in future" Akira said, turning around and reaching out his hand for Feya to sit on.

Feya gracefully accepted and sat right down on Akira's hand as they continued on their journey.

"Oh, I saw a small village, maybe another hours walk in the direction were going" Feya said, shuffling a little to get comfortable on Akira's hand.

After another hours walked, drenched in sweat, legs aching, Akira finally emerged from the forests tree line and saw his first sign of human life in this new world. Right in front of him, was a small village, it only had a few houses, all very run down looking. There weren't many people around either and the few Akira could see, were extremely old. Akira took another step towards the village but suddenly Feya jumped out of his hand.

"Hold on, can I umm...can I get into your pocket?" she asked.

"Why?" Akira asked, feeling a little confused.

The mistress told me that, quite a lot of humans aren't very fond of creatures like me"

"Creatures like you?" Akira said, already feeling like he knew the answer.

"Creatures like me, creatures with magical abilities or strange forms, we are referred to as Fey. Fey creatures...well apparently were not liked by many humans. I don't know why but the mistress told me I should probably hide when I'm around them, just in case". Feya finished and for the first time, Akira saw her frown a little.

"It's alright, hop in" he said, opening his pants pocket enough so Feya could get inside. "Just keep your head down, I won't let anything happen to you".

Feya smiled before diving head first into Akira's pocket. She readjusted herself to be more comfortable before Akira, began to walk towards the village.
