Question: Why Don't the Super Geniuses of Vixen Share the Advanced Tech They Create?

ANSWERS.:

1. Cause it's their stuff and they can do whatever they want with it, duh?

2. The public isn't ready.

3. The government (even the "good ones") cannot be trusted.

4. It's a unique prototype that only they understand and therefore cannot be reverse-engineered or mass-produced since there are no blueprints as the idea came to them in a spark of brilliance. Furthermore, these devices often require highly specialized, individualized maintenance that only they themselves can provide.

5. Keeping the tech exclusive ensures that they have an advantage over supervillains.

6. Like with "free" healthcare and Socialism in general, while it sounds good both on paper and in theory, introducing technology like free energy or advanced healing could collapse existing industries and social structures, causing chaos and other unforeseen negative consequences in both the short and long term.

7. On a meta-level, it would interfere with the audiences' immersion by making this world too different from our own. Not only that, but having a "cure-everything-machine" removes the drama and conflict, thus killing all future storyline potential in this story who's primary gimmick is that it's an actual comic book superhero publishing company with the goal of creating iconic & original characters that (hopefully) will stand the test of time and who's stories & adventures will keep going in one form or another and will only stop publishing ONLY if/when CHYOA shuts down permanently, humanity goes extinct, or Jesus comes back!
