Put everything back where you found it and ask Rick to take you shopping for brunch clothes. Ask him to invite Rebecca and to tell here that since you just got out of a (made up) abusive relationship both you and he would be more comfortable and thankful

You carefully return Rebecca's cashmere scarf to the guest room closet, hanging it exactly as you found it. The berry lipstick goes back into the monogrammed makeup bag, which you slip into the vanity drawer. Your freckled face now scrubbed clean, you skip back to Rick's home office where he's finishing a business call.

He smiles as you bounce into the room, your petite frame swimming in his oversized shirt. You perch yourself on the edge of his desk, swinging your bare legs as you wait for him to finish. His eyes keep drifting to your exposed thighs while he tries to maintain his professional tone.

"Yes, we'll finalize the Battersea development next week," he says, voice gruff as you playfully twirl one of your chestnut pigtails. "I'll have my assistant send the paperwork Monday. Goodbye."

The moment he hangs up, you slide into his lap with practiced ease, your simplified mind focusing on the task at hand.

"Daddy," you begin, voice breathy and sweet, "I really want Rebecca to like me. Could we invite her shopping with us? Since I just escaped that awful relationship, maybe she'd feel better helping pick out what I should wear for brunch?"

Rick's eyebrows rise in surprise. "You want to spend more time with Becky? Most girls try to avoid her."

"But she's your daughter," you pout, resting your small hands on his chest. "And I'm super bad at fancy clothes. I bet she has amazing taste! Plus..." you bite your lower lip, looking up at him through your lashes, "I think she'd feel more comfortable with me if she saw you weren't just, like, keeping me as your secret sex bunny."

Rick laughs, his large hands settling on your waist. "Smart thinking, princess. I'll give her a call."

He reaches for his phone while you remain in his lap, feeling a warm glow of satisfaction. You don't mention the upgrade that's now flowing through your system, but you're eager to see it work its magic on Rebecca.

Rick dials, putting the call on speaker. Rebecca answers on the third ring, her voice crisp and professional. "Dad? What is it?"

"Hey Becks, change of plans for today. Ashley needs some new clothes for tomorrow's brunch, and she specifically asked if you'd help us shop. Said she'd feel more comfortable with another woman's opinion."

There's a pause on the line. "She asked for me? Specifically?"

"Her idea completely," Rick confirms, giving your bottom a little squeeze that makes you stifle a giggle.

"Well... I suppose I could move some things around," Rebecca says, her tone softer than before. "The Slink Boutique on King's Road would be appropriate. They have private shopping experiences."

"Perfect," Rick beams. "Meet us there in an hour?"

"Fine. But I'm doing this for her, not you," Rebecca says with surprising protectiveness that makes you smile. The Daddy's Family Plan upgrade is already working its subtle magic. "Dad, be sure she has something decent to wear there. She can't show up in your shirt."

After hanging up, Rick looks at you with newfound respect. "Well played, princess. I've never seen Becky warm up to anyone this quickly."

You just smile, playing dumb. "I just want us all to get along. Now, what should I wear to the store?"

Rick stands, lifting you easily with his strong hands. "Let's find you something in the guest room. My last girlfriend left some clothes behind."
