Pushing yourself

You had been given a literal button that could make everyone forget when you made a mistake and even then, you were hesitant to put yourself in a situation that you were scared of. And at that point, you were starting to see that your fear was becoming irrational.

“We can try something if that scenario with Sarah ends up happening. As long as it’s not like us fucking in the middle of the classroom where everyone is watching” you reluctantly conceded.

“Well…” Emma replied, thankfully not sounding completely serious.

Although you were pretty sure her sharing Grace’s exhibitionist kink might have skewed her thoughts.

“Nope, not a chance.” you repeated, putting your foot down even if it was a joke.

“Ugh fine,” she responded, doing her best to fake being pissed off.

“We’ll see what happens with Sarah and then think about this a bit more, it’s already making me slightly anxious so I’m gonna switch topics. I mentioned briefly that I saw Jessica at the gym” you added, trying to get her attention with something more positive.

“Yeahhh?…” Emma asked quizzically.

“Well there may have been a moment where we were able to set aside some of our differences and she was the one to ask for a handshake… that lasted longer than 5 seconds” you cryptically teased, knowing this would take her attention away from literally any other topic.

“...Wait… You’re serious?!” Emma shouted.

You immediately heard Grace’s muffled voice in the background and some noises as Emma got up to apologise again. This time however, you didn’t hear her sit back down and after you heard the sound of her door click shut, it sounded like she was just still standing there.

“Emma?” you asked, trying to figure out what she was doing.

“...Do you think I can check your phone if we meet up? I…think I need to see this in person” Emma replied, struggling to contain her excitement.

You were still sitting on the floor next to your bed and while you had been sat there, the sun had fully disappeared and you were now sat in a darkened room, only now realising now that Emma had mentioned coming to see you.

“...Sure, just… Everyone is still up so I don’t think I can sneak you in… Unless you wanna do some mini streaking?” you suggested, hearing just silence on the other end of the line.

“What was the cooldown on that effect again? I don’t think I wanna get trapped or get caught naked in your room?” Emma replied, seemingly considering this as an option.

“Why not? But yeah that’s a good point. Hold on” you teased, enjoying it a lot more when you got to make fun of her.

You did however do what you had said you were going to do and went to check out the effect listed on Emma’s profile.

Condition(s): Subject must be out of sight from other subjects. Subject must be naked.
Effect(s): Once activated, Subject will become invisible to other subjects' five senses unless they directly interact with them or are in contact with the user. User and non-registered individuals will still be able to see the ‘invisible’ subject and once the invisible subject interacts with other subjects they will see them for the rest of the effect duration. Effect lasts for 2 hours but can be ended early via the KDK app or by the invisible subject putting on clothes.
Cooldown: 24 hours

“It is a whole day for the cooldown. But it does last for 2 hours so you could be in and out before the effect is even close to being over” you relayed, giving her the full details after that as a reminder.

Again there was silence as Emma seemed to think over her options. You could have just both probably met up outside in the back garden but now you had the thought, it was hard to get rid of.

“...Fuck, alright. Just… give me a couple minutes and then I’ll tell you when I’m ready… I’m putting you on speaker” Emma said in agreement, putting down her phone.

You could hear the sounds of clothes rustling as you assumed Emma was stripping off and only the one expletive as you could tell she was rushing and seemed to bump into something.

You were just happy to listen in to her attempts so you weren’t sure why she put you on speaker but it did mean you got caught when you let a small laugh escape your lips, getting you scolded. Which then made it harder to keep your composure and the cycle repeated.

She did eventually manage to get undressed from what you could hear and you heard the change in tone from the call as you were taken off speakerphone.

“I think I’m ready” she whispered, really not wanting to get caught at this point and you could hear some of the tension in her voice because of that.

Activating ‘Invisigirl’

“Okay, it’s activated. And remember you can’t be holding anything so we should probably end the call” you suggested, knowing she was focusing on other things that took priority.

“Oh, right. Meet at your back door?” Emma asked, putting her trust in you once again.

“Sure, I’ll see you there in a minute” you replied, saying your goodbyes and ending the call.

You got up from where you were sat and had to stretch your body for a moment, now finding out that the harder floor wasn’t exactly good for you to have been sitting on as you felt a few aches and pains. You made it to your door and didn’t hear any movement from anywhere upstairs as you peered out into the hallway, the pains disappearing quickly as you had your body moving again.

It was only now that you realised you would also have to be sneakier than you had first thought, needing to either avoid everyone or try to act casual in order to not seem suspicious.

Sneaking around seemed like the best thing to do for now as you could always change your mind if someone did spot you.

Upstairs was clear of people and you only heard signs of life when you crept down the stairs, the sounds from the TV and general chit-chat in the living room reaching your ears. You could make out Mom and Sarah’s voices but there was no signs of Lucy from what you could tell.

Luckily it seemed like they had moved from the large sofa on the wall closest to the door so you were able to move past without them being able to see you as their backs were turned away from the door.

Going through the dining room was also safe and you turned into the kitchen in the hopes of letting Emma inside, feeling slightly rushed in case she was already stood there waiting for you.
