Pull away and Busy Yourself

Surprisingly, you are the one who breaks contact. "I...uh...I'm going to go get the couch!", you say as you head towards the door. She doesn't seem to be able to move after your little, or not so little, encounter. You take that as a good sign, but you're still too nervous to make a move so you go downstairs and get the couch. It's big, but you're bigger. It takes you a little under an hour to get it upstairs, but that distracts you from thinking about Sam too much.

When you get in the apartment, you realize how long it took you and you begin to wonder where Sam is. The bedroom door is wide open so you think she wouldn't be in there and the kitchen is open concept so you can clearly see she's not there. The bathroom door is mostly shut and the light is on, but there is no noise coming from there either. It seems as though she might not be in the apartment anymore.
