Protecting the innocent

“Hmmm I’d have to say protecting those who can’t protect themselves.”

“Okay good! If you truly stand by that tenet you should be able to tap into the divine magics.”

“So how do I do it?” You say putting on Petra’s amulet

“That’s where I come in. With the limited time we have I can only teach you one or two minor miracles. So let’s get to it.”

Over the course of the next few hours you learn to summon magic with your hands and speak divine words to summon holy power. However practicing a handful in such a short amount of time is proving difficult. Despite this, you master one miracle called flash.

Flash should prove quite useful. Just by doin’ some finger movements and opening me’ hand I can temporarily blind someone. Petra mentioned that I shouldn’t overdo it though. One too many uses of flash could tap me’ energy and make me too weak to fight for a time.

“There!” Petra says. “That should hopefully prove useful. I’m glad I could teach you atleast one miracle before the fight!”

“Aye thanks Petra!” You flex your hand a couple times mentally practicing flash. “Now, I think the others will be lookin’ to meet up soon. We should be joinin’ them.”

“It’s about that time.” Petra says with a hint of anxiety to her tone. “You go ahead, I’ll be along in a minute.”

Petra needs a minute to gather her gear so you exit the tent and make your way towards the meeting point.
