"I...I want to ask Miranda to marry me."

Shepard let out a laugh. "I knew it."

"Fuck you."

"We both know you two are perfect for each other."

"Shes the perfect one." Jack mumbled.

"So whats the issue?"

"Why the fuck would she want to be my wife?"

"Really?" Shepard cocked her eyebrow. "How long have you two been technically together now? Yes I know about the trips she took down to your hold during the Collectors fight."

"How the fuck did you know that?!"

"The first time EDI told me because she thought you two were killing each other. Imagine my surprise when I saw what you were really doing."

Jack actually blushed at that.

Shepard decided not to mention all the feeds Liara had of their little excursions, they could be handy later. "So you two have been together now what? Four years? Its about time you made an honest woman out of her."

"Again fuck off." Jack looked down. "What if she says no?"

"Then we go to the bar and get drunk until you dont feel feeling anymore. But WHEN she says yes I get to arrange the party."

Jack grinned at that. "You know I will need a best man. Is Scars available?"

"Ha ha." Shepard grinned. "I would be happy to do it Jack. Now quite killing time and go do what you want to do."

"Always going for motivation arent you?"

"Is it working?"

"Yeah. Thanks Shepard."
