What's next?
Prom Night coming to an end
Ali took off her heels, sitting down at an empty table. It was starting to get a lot later in the night and quite a few people were either doing the same as Ali or even getting ready to leave.
It was fair to say the blonde had gone through a shocker of a night, it wasn’t the prom to remember that she had first hoped when it was announced. Looking behind her at a couple of others who appeared to be struggling worse than her, Ali noticed one girl in particular, bawling her eyes out as she was comforted by her female friend.
Appearing by Ali’s side as she turned back around, putting her heels to the ground, was her good friend Tiffany. She smiled politely, pulling up the seat next to the blonde, “Rough night?”
She couldn’t help but stare at her bare feet, once the heel were off, they weren’t coming back on.
Ali sighed deeply, “Boys…”
“So got your answer on Patrick then?”
Twitching her face up and raising her eyebrows, she nodded, “What a waste of time ugh… maybe I was harsh on him too.”
“Probably directed towards Daniel huh?” Tiffany asked her.
Again she nodded along, one of her best friends knowing her all too well. Sitting there, she pulled out her phone to check the time, ready to leave. She then looked out on to the dance floor, noticing Mark was slow dancing with Winter.
With a chance to take the attention off herself, she put it all on Tiffany.
“Slow dance,” she told Tiffany, nodding in the direction of the dance floor, “He’s dancing to this slow song with Winter, you okay with that?”
She nodded, “Just my date tonight, not my boyfriend, plus I’m over dancing already, just waiting to get out of here with him, I’ll be selfish then.”
Ali appreciated how calm Tiffany was about it, just like she was about everything. Just like everyone else, Ali knew Tiffany was going very far in life with her hard working DNA and her positive bright attitude.
“Hey Uhh…” Tiffany then whispered to Ali.
She realised that the brunette senior was alerting her that Daniel had made a bypass straight towards their table. Like a stealthy wing woman, Tiffany lightly tapped Ali’s leg before sneaking away from the table, giving Daniel a free chance to speak with the blonde.

The DJ had slowed things down out on the dance floor to give a chance for emerging couples and lovers to slow dance or for certain students to make a move.
In saying all of that, Mark was out there with Winter, someone he wouldn’t be going home with tonight. There was a sense of awkwardness knowing Tiffany would be awaiting the end of the song, ready to take Mark away into the night.
All around them, students were paired up with either their date or a change of person that they came in with. Mark even looked over to see that Miranda was taking her date out for a little one on one dance. If Mark had a guess, Cameron hadn’t been this close with an attractive female like Miranda in his entire life.
“So Juniors next year,” Winter said to him as they danced slowly.
Mark nodded, his hand firmly against her back, his eyes doing their best not to keep peeking in a downwards direction at her marvellous breasts.
“Can you believe we’re already half way there, before you know it, we’ll be graduating, time just flies.”
“Crazy.”
It was slightly difficult to make conversation, there was a part inside of him that would have loved to go home with Winter instead but it just couldn’t happen. Mark had made his decision tonight and that was final, as much as he did like Winter, Tiffany had been that number one crush from day one, the minute she met him outside his dorm room.
They both sensed that awkwardness and instead of acknowledging it, they just put it to the side, ignoring it.
“My family’s going away this summer,” she told him, “Don’t think I really want to go.”
“Why’s that?” he asked.
“They’re taking a trip to New Zealand which is a beautiful place but it won’t be summer there,” she explained, “I’ve bought so many bikinis for the summer, can’t let them go to waste.”
Mark was starting to get the hint.
“Was looking to maybe head somewhere nice for the summer, down by a coast, beaches, sun,” she started to tell him, indicating to him that she was referring to the West Coast.
“What’s your opinion on a California summer?”
She raised her eyebrows, “You tell me, it’s your home.”
He knew San Fran wasn’t the greatest place for the summer in terms of hot weather but it was still fine and they always had other parts of California to visit.
“It’s okay,” he said, looking down at her chest, thinking about her rack in different types of bikinis, “It’s enough to enjoy yourself, are you considering it.”
She sighed, “Accomodating can be so expensive sometimes…”
He started to laugh, “Guessing this is where I’m meant to say that you’re welcome to stay at my place.”
That’s when he picked up on that beautiful smile of her’s, “Would I be welcome?”
“Of course.”
He didn’t have any intention of asking his parents first if it was going to be okay. Suddenly the holidays was looking very bright with a special guest potentially joining him for what he was hoping as a “summer of sex”.
As they danced until the end of the song, Mark once again felt a little conflicted deep down. His emotions and feelings were still all over the place. Tiffany was still waiting for him tonight, the questions were raised in his mind, when he was in bed with her later that night, would the focus be entirely on her, or would Winter slip into his mind?

“You could have told me earlier!” Ali snapped at Daniel.
The two had been discussing what had happened during the week and unfortunately for the blonde, she let her temper get the better of her for a moment, snapping at the quiet boy. It and been building up inside her and the Patrick scenario had only made matters worse.
“What do you want me to say?” Daniel asked her, “I know I didn’t handle things right I guess but I’ve never been in a position like this before.”
Rolling her eyes, the blonde was over it. She started to look down at the ground, having enough of this prom night.
“Ali, I’m sorry,” Daniel said again.
He meant it. Daniel had always been close with Maple and did have feelings for her before the whole incident rocked her mentally. However, while he was so busy trying to get justice for Maple over the last few months, he had got to know Ali very well and created quite the bond with a lot of feelings involved too.
“Yeah I know,” she huffed, “Look it’s fine, it just doesn’t change that tonight’s really sucked for me.”
Anyone could tell that just by looking into her eyes and the facial reactions that she had been giving all evening. Looking at her in that beautiful red dress, Daniel’s mind was racing, almost considering doing a last minute flip.
He had his mouth open, ready to speak when Ali was staring behind him.
They were about to be interrupted by Maple who was making her way towards the table just like Daniel had done to Ali and Tiffany moments before.
“Someone’s looking for you,” Ali said calmly as she started to slip her high heels back on her feet.
Daniel again feeling that intense guilt.

Not long after…
“I’m not going back to your dorm room tonight,” Mark told Tiffany as they prepared to leave the building.
She had a shocked look on her face, waiting for him to explain himself. Tiffany would have been a little more worried if it wasn’t for the big smile that was creeping on his face.
“I’ve booked us somewhere nice for us to stay the night,” he eventually told her, brightening her mood up.
The brunette senior beamed as she pushed part of her hair back, “Can we go now?”
“Yeah,” he told her, “Just let me run to the toilet really quickly.”
