Project Breeding Stock

As soon as Leia regained her Consciousness, after Luke woke her up from the stun blast using his newfound powers , he had to step in between her and Mara to stop his sister from shooting her.
"Stop it!", he shouted, "There is no need to fight anymore. She's on our side!"
Leia looked sceptically at him: "On our side? Luke, I know you always bring the best out of people, but I don't think even you could change her in that short amount of time. Are you sure she's not lying?"
His twin was right and Luke knew it. He couldn't trust Mara. At least not yet. He'd have to watch his back for surprise attacks all the time. He needed some kind of assurance that it won't happen. For a split second the thought of using his powers on her, entered his mind. But he quickly discarded it. If he used his powers to make her friendly towards them, it woudn't be Mara who made that decision, it'd be Luke. That stands against everything he believes, that no one is completely evil and that everybody can change. As much as he didn't like it, he'd have to trust the assassin.
"Yes, I am", Luke said calmy.
Leia clearly didn't like that, but she learned to trust Lukes judgement.
"So where did that sudden change of heart come from?", she turned towards Mara.
"If one is to understand the great mystery one must study all it’s aspects", she replied, ignoring the obvious sarcasm in Leias voice.
"Now what does that mean?", Leia asked.
"It's a thing my master used to say."
"You mean the emperor?"
Mara gave Leia a cold look, before turning to Luke: "I suppose you came here because of Project Breeding Stock?"
"Exactly. What do you know about it?" Of course Luke already knew everything, he was the one who imagined it, but he couldn't let the other know.
"Not much. Just that your friend Han wasn't the first one, on whom the carbonite technology was used. My master and Vader invested a lot of research on it. But other than that I don't really know much. It was one of the most top secret projects in the empire."
"Carbonite you say? Why would they need that?", Leia questioned incredulously.
"We're gonna find out soon enough.", Luke calmed her down, "R2! Show us the way."
Happily beeping for being tasked with such an important erand, R2 lead the Skywalker twins and the assassin through the corridor that the security droids came from earlier.
"You could've asked me as well", Mara murmured, visibly not happy with the distrustful attitude Luke and Leia put towards her.

No one said a thing. They walked down a dimly lit hallway, past many doors with strange to completely no signs. The tension in the air was almost unbearable, as everbody expected Mara or another Security droid to jump at them from out of nowhere. Finally they reached a sealed door with heavy security just waiting for them to make a mistake and pulverize them. R2 stopped, indicating that this was the place they've been looking for.

"Now what?", Leia asked.
"That's a high security cortosis door, means our lightsabers will be useless. To open it you'd have to put your thinger in this little hole there. It will compare your DNA to the ones in the Databank. But you can only try three times."
"Is your DNA in the Databank?", Luke wanted to know.
Mara shrugged: "Could be. My master made sure I could access everything I needed. But I never needed access to this."
"Well, there's only one way to find out.", Luke said.
"Are you really gonna let her just do it. Maybe it's a trap?", Leia panicked.
"Dont worry we've still got two tries left. I'll keep an eye on her."
Leia nodded slowly. She didn't like this at all, but she knew this was the only way in.
After they both agreed, Mara reached her hand out towards the hole next to the door.
"Wait!", Leia shouted, "What happens when there's no tries left?"
"This underwater base stands on seven massive pillars. Each of them has a bomb build in. When there's no tries left, the bombs will go off."
Luke had a really bad feeling about this, but he thought that Mara wouldn't betray them now, since she would die with them as well.
"Continue.", he said, trying to sound as confident as possible.
Keeping calm face Mara put her finger in the hole. With a high Pling sound a needle came out of the hole and took a blood sample. The small screen above turned on and displayed what was happening.

Luke gulped. Only two tries left. They couldn't just wildly guess anymore. They had to do it right or all of them would die.
"Vader's in this Databank for sure.", Mara thought aloud, "You're his children, right? Let's hope your DNA is close enough to his."
"You want us to just try it out and hope that everything goes well? No way!", Leia protested, "Can't we just slice into this thing?"
"Impossible. The technology for that hasn't been invented yet, because no one knew this kind of security even existed. Any attempt to breach it, will cause immediate detonation.", Mara informed them.
"We have ****. This is our only chance.", Luke looked at Leia, showing her that he hated it as much as she did, but pleading her to trust him one more time.
Leia sighed: "Fine. I have never thought I'd hope to be Darth Vaders daughter."
"You go first. "Luke told her.
With shakey hands Leia nervously put her finger into the hole. Again the Pling sound chimed.

Shit. Luke thought to himself. It all now depended on him.
"Leia, I want you to take R2 and go with Mara to the hangar. Wait for me in the ship"
"Are you crazy?! You want to leave me alone with this assassin in our ship with a lot of the Republics most sensible data? Besides I'm not leaving you to die! There must be another way in!", Leia got angry. How could Luke be so calm about this? The last time she felt so **** was on Endor when he decided to confront their father.
"Leia trust me. Everything will be fine", Luke smiled at her, trying to make her feel better, "Now go!"
With a heavy heart Leia took one last look at her brother, before turning around and rushing towards the hanger. After Luke couldn't hear their footsteps anymore, he sat down and meditated, waiting until he was sure that Leia had the ship ready to start. Before he put his finger in the hole, he made a wish that - no matter what - Leia can't be killed. He took a deep breath and for the third time today the Pling sound chimed.

No match found. Try again.

That was what Luke hoped for.The security protocoll had been activated, there was no longer a reason for the door to be locked. With a swift motion of his hand he opened the door and swooshed in, trying to free as many Jedi in the carbonite as fast as he could.

boom

He grabbed one carbonite block.

boom!

He got hold of another carbonite.

Boom!

He took the third carbonite

BOOM!

He stacked the last carbonite on top of the previous three.

BOOM!

He ran out of the chamber.

BOOM!

Too late.
