Day 7.

Meet with BFF to talk about problems with bf.

I was still feeling a bit uneasy from yesterday and since I was supposed to meet with Maggie, maybe she would help me think through the situation with Josh. We were supposed to meet at our favorite spot from childhood, a little bench next to the lake, surrounded mostly by nature. It was our tranquil place. As I approached her she gave me a long hug and inhale deeply, as she usually did.

• "Good to see you Maggie."
• "You too Lucy, you sounded worried when you wrote to me about Josh. Did something happen?"

I told her about the date we had yesterday and all of his behaviors. How disappointed I felt in the restaurant, how annoyed in the cinema, and scared in the park. I told her about my conflicting thoughts about the future of our relationship and how that reflected on my changing character. She was listening with full attention the whole time, looking deeply into my eyes. She was always such a good listener and yet I didn't listen to her problems that often, that needed fixing.

• "And how did that date end, Lucy?" She asked.
• "Well, it was just anticlimactic. I didn't get what I wanted, I wasn't really feeling it."
• "I get you, poor thing." She touched my cheek and moved a hair from my face to the side.
• "Thanks Maggie, you always knew how to listen. But enough about me, how about you, have you met anyone recently?"
• "Umm, no not really, I don't have time for guys haha."
• "Don't be so modest, you are pretty and for sure you would find someone easily." She blushed as I said that, always so modest.
• "Umm, yeah, it's just a bit hard for me."
• "Come on girl, you have to find someone already, you've been alone for 2 years now."
• "What if... What if I'm just not looking for guys specifically?" She surprised me.
• "Oh my God, so you are into girls? Why haven't you told me earlier?" I was surprised by her answer, how did I not notice that in all those years?
• "I was worried you wouldn't like me anymore."
• "Don't be silly, you are my best friend Maggie, I would never stop liking you."
• "Thanks." She blushed again and played with her hair.
• "Anyway, have you met some nice girl already? I still think you need someone to date."
• "Well, I kinda did."
• "Oh come on, you have to tell me the details."
• "Umm, I can't, it's a bit of a secret."
• "Haha, what if you tell me on my ear?"
• "Hmm, that might work, come closer then."

I slowly leaned toward her. My curiosity was at its peak, my girl finally found someone after all this time, I couldn't wait to hear who that was. And then the unexpected happened.
