Proceed Cautiously

Taking a breath, James slowly made his way along the corridor. Most of the doors leading into various fast food concessions were quite but he could hear noises coming from a few of them. Every time he heard a voice or a movement his heart leapt, could someone come out of their fire exit at any moment and catch him stood here completely naked?

He glanced back down the corridor to confirm that no one had come out behind him, part of him concerned that Amy might come after him at any moment.

Fortunately he arrived at the end of the corridor with no sight of anyone. The corridor curved off to the left, where the janitors, security and offices where hidden. Likely there were places to hide there, but no way for him to actually get out of the mall. The door in front of him however would lead to possible safety, but it lead out into the mall proper, where there could be any number of people currently wandering around.
