A New Crime
Commissioner James Gordon stood on the roof of the GCPD next to a spotlight experiencing some mechanical difficulties, he knew that The Batman would be here soon. Gordon lit a cigarette, he had started smoking again since Barbra moved out, then he heard, "Those things'll kill you Jim."
Gordon spun around, tempted to reach for his side-arm, but he knew exactly who was there. Gordon saw Batman standing in some of the shadows, the Commissioner couldn't make out his features but something seemed different. Gordon breathed in before saying, "Batman good to see you."
Gordon pulled out a folder and walked toward Batman, but before he could get close Batman held up a hand stopping Gordon in his tracks. Just before Gordon asked what was wrong Bullock barged through the roof access door saying, "Gordon, Yin's tracked down where the girl who got kidnapped, Main and 7th, she's there now, want me to send in some black-and-whites?"
Gordon glanced to the shadows before giving Bullock a wry grin saying, "Oh, wait an hour then send them."
-At the apartment-
Detective Ellen Yin stood in the elevator of a rundown apartment building as it went up to the 7th floor, wishing she had bundled up more since the heating unit of the apartment was not functional, 'I guess I should just be glad the elevator still works,' Yin thought as she saw her breathe.
Once the elevator stopped she walked down the hall to the "Room" the victim of a kidnapping had been staying in. It was luckily slightly warmer in the room, three small heaters had been strategically set up around the room, so Yin could look around without fear of hypothermia setting in. Yin saw very little she considered worth noting, some hair care products, a few cans of food, some makeup. Yin thought about the girl who had been taken, 'Ran away at 16, been living on her own for the last 5 years, god knows how she's managed to survive this long, and all without the ability to speak.'
Yin moved further into the room and saw a large bed surrounded by books, Yin would be lying if she said her thought's remained on the case as she looked at the bed. Ever since Batman had kissed her that night with Ivy she hadn't been able to get him out of her head, she knew it was probably a one-off, Ivy had probably hit him with an aphrodisiac or something. But Yin knew that chance's were high that Gordon would call in Batman on this one, the victim was an heiress to a small fortune in Hub City, so she would be working close with him. 'Hopefully very close,' Yin thought as she laid a hand on the bed, she tried to shake the thought's away but all she could think about was Batman pressing against her body. She could feel his warmth, she wanted to taste his kiss, her legs felt weak and then she heard, "Detective."
Yin spun around and pulled her firearm, only to slam it into the body of The Dark Knight standing inches away from her, "Batman," Yin breathed out.
Batman looked down at Yin and felt the pressure build up behind his eye's, 'Look who I found.'
