“So why did you do it then?” Amelia couldn't help but ask

“Well, because we were here together and I'd gotten us one each I thought it might help you take part a little if I took the lead”

“Oh”

“But I see I've kinda rushed into things here, I had the impression when you mentioned you liked eating here that you were experienced with all this stuff, that maybe you'd taken part a few times and I kinda wanted to impress you, and to explore this stuff with you”

A blush was now creeping across her face, but also a slight look of fear, exactly what had he been expecting from her she hated to think, at least at this point.

“We can just finish our meal and leave as if this were any other restaurant we'd gone to, I'm sorry for pressuring you, I just thought it might be something you'd like, and I remember you mentioning how you liked banana flavoured milkshakes so I wanted to get something you'd like.. I'm honestly not expecting anything from you today, but could we, maybe take a brief walk around here and then when we're ready to take that step in our relationship we can come back here?”

“Yes, I think I'd like that, I don't think I'm ready for this yet but I'm still curious about what's here.”

And with that she looked back to the pie and plunged a finger into it before bringing it to her lips
