Amelia couldn't, she just couldn't. This was all too much too soon for her.

“No, um, thanks but that's okay, maybe later?”

Emily disappointed, but it was only her first table, the day was still early simply bowed and left to her other duties

The next couple of minutes were a little awkward, silence for the most part as they both resumed their meals, the banana cream pie just sitting in between them.

Zack was worried he'd perhaps rushed too much too soon, if he'd known she really didn't know what this place was really like then he would've planned differently. The problem now was there was no way to leave the event centre without passing more than a couple of..unconventional things.

“So you really weren't tempted Amelia?”

Her eyes immediately darted to where the pie was, and then back to where Emily had been standing.

“Well...maybe. But this really was a lot, perhaps we can talk about something else for a while. Like have you been here yourself much before?”

“Well, to be honest, no. No I haven't. I always wanted to, there's a lot here I'd like to explore but I never had the chance, the right opportunity.”

“oh..” Amelia was a little shocked at that, he'd seemed so confident earlier, surprised at this little bit of vulnerability from him

“We all have interests and this place can help you find out what they are properly, its a place where you can find what you really like and experiment. Where I was hoping I could find myself at some point, but I wanted to do it with someone I actually liked, not some stranger, however willing they might be – like our waitress was”
