"Hey, Mom!" You call from the bathroom. You quickly get redressed and join her in the kitchen. Your mom is a real trooper. She doesn't even take the time to change before starting dinner. You assume she's had to develop such a strict work ethic being a single mom from day 1. Not only that, but she was knocked up at 18 after a one night stand. The guy bounced and she never managed to track him down. That combined with her parents conservative background left your mom with no options but to support herself and you. She did a great job, but she had to take on a lot of debt to do it. You hope one day she will finally get the support she deserves.
