Answering Questions

"Ms. Granger," said Aurora, "please sit down. I will not ask again. You were not called upon to answer the question."

I had never seen Ms. Celeste become this angry at Hermione, but Hermione was still desperately trying to answer questions.

"I understand that Ma'am," said Hermione, "it's just that, Idius-." Hermione's voice was nearly pleading for help from Parvati, but Parvati was still stunned in the corner.

"Idius told you the answer, "said Aurora, "yes, you've said that plenty of times now Mrs. Granger." Could I do something to save this? I didn't even know what the plan was. I could see Seamus Finnigan and Dean Thomas enjoying every second of her struggles.

"But.. Idius," Hermione said weakly. It seemed she was out of ideas. But someone had finally answered her call.

"Hermione," said Padma. Padma stood up from her seat. Her voice was at first weak, but as she continued to speak grew more confident.

"Take my boyfriend Idius's name out of your mouth," said Padma. Padma and me dating would not be surprising to anyone.

"No," said Hermione, "you're not going to scare me into not seeing Idius. If your relationship is strong it shouldn't be an issue." Hermione was a damn good actor. Her frustration from the last few minutes was making its was into her delivery.

"Bitch," said Padma. To this point Aurora was just a bystander. Her mouth was wide open listening to these two.

"Are they," said Seamus, "are they really fighting over Halfhwit right now?"

I didn't understand the entirety of the plan, but it involved a public dispute over me apparently. Which was only going to make my stock go up.

"He deserves better," said Hermione, "that's all I am saying."

"And you're better," said Padma with a laugh? They both were looking so angry. Like they were about to throw fists across the room. But Aurora finally seemed to come to her senses.

"Wait, Ms. Patil" said Aurora! The whole class held their breath as she very sternly began to speak. Padma's face softened when she turned towards the former Auror.

"Yes Ms. Celeste," said Padma. Padma had done what her sister was unable to do. But not all good deeds went unpunished.

"I thought Idius was dating Parvati," said Aurora, "Didn't you just tell me that?" Aurora looked to Parvati, whose face was completely red. Shit! Padma didn't know that Parvati told her she was dating me just minutes before class. Padma probably assumed Aurora wouldn't be able to tell the difference between them.

It took a second for everyone to process what she said, but the class needed no answer to believe it.

"Halfhwit is a fucking King," said Seamus. Everyone began to talk. Padma was stunned, her face suddenly very red. Hermione as well didn't know what to say.

"Calm down everyone," said Aurora, but not even she could stop everyone in this moment. Rumors were going to spread like Wildfire. It seemed only I could save this situation. It was a Kings duty.
