The Fairy and the Human P.2

The two sit on the bench for a few more minutes, just basking in one another presence. The tears now dried up as Lani begins grinning, even letting out a small chuckle. John hears this and looks down at his guide before asking, "What's with the laugh?".

Lani now looks at the human before saying, "Let's say, I got an idea. Now, let's head to Tally's!" Lani flies off, quickly heading up the street.

John then quickly leaps off the bench, rushing to catch the fairy as he shouts, "Wait!".

TALYISHA'S TAILORS:

The duo get to the door with John panting as he asks, "What was all that about?".

Lani chuckles, "Don't worry, you'll see" Lani then winks which almost shocks John as they walk into Tally's store.

INSIDE THE STORE:

The duo walk inside and immediately see Tally dressing a mannequin. She turns around, hearing the ring of the entry bell, she sees the duo and says, "Hello you two. I trust our fair little town has been treating you well?".

The fairy and human look at each other before Lani takes charge, saying, "It's been... interesting. It seems we've got our first adventure!".

Tally looks impressed, "Oooh, first adventure eh? You two certainly have been busy, also glad my intuition paid off, once again".

Tally has a smirk on her face as she continues dressing the aforementioned mannequin as John asks, "Your, intuition?"

Tally chuckles, "How innocent. Yes, a woman's intuition. I had a feeling that you weren't meant for menial labour. Once we... well, you know, I felt a jolt of energy from you, at that moment, I knew for a fact you were born to be an adventurer".

John and Lani look at each other again, both with single raised eyebrows, almost in disbelief from the elf's words. They eventually snap out of it as Tally says, "So, you're here for you clothes I assume?".

Before John can even say anything, Lani ecstatically bursts out, "Yes!".

The excited fairy now confusing her companion and the beautiful tailor who is now the one with the raised eyebrow as she says, "Wow, someone is excited for their adventure".

Lani chuckles, "Sorry, just can't wait, hehe".

John hears the small, almost devious giggle escape, from the fairy and he's filled with even more confusion as Tally says, "Alright, I'll be, but a moment".

The beautiful elf begins walking to the back of the store but is stopped by an almost shouting Lani who says, "Wait!".

The shout almost scares the elf and human but Tally stops in her tracks as she replies, "Yes, my dear?".

Lani then says, "Uhm, may I talk to you about... potential clothing... for me?".

Tally looks at the fairy in intrigue as she says, "Certainly! Follow me, my sweet".

Lani then does as asked, flying to the back of the shop, following the ebony elf, almost giddily, leaving John alone in the front of the store.

TEN MINUTES LATER:

John aimlessly wanders around the store and checks the clothing in the display cases for what seems to be the fiftieth time.

Finally, Lani emerges from the back of the store while saying, "Okay! That's everything! Oh, and Tally asked if you can head back there to get your clothes. She was just making some... final adjustments".

John looks at the fairy confusedly before saying, "Uhh, okay, I'll be back in a sec".

John takes one step but Lani interrupts him by saying, "While you're doing that, I'll go look for the Seer!".

John then looks at the fairy before saying, "Lani, i'm only grabbing a bag, what's the rush?".

Lani then says, "Oh, uhh... she's still making the adjustments, so I figured I'd take the time to look for the Seer! Don't worry, I'll be back in a flash!".

Lani then flies right up to John's ear before whispering, "Oh, and thank me later".

The fairy then flies to the door while chuckling to herself, almost deviously like before. As she heads outside and flies away, John simply ponders to himself, "What's that supposed to mean?".
