The building

Lauren decided that the building would be the better option. The woman and her kids would probably just think she was some sort of freak and call the police. Or worse, mistake her for a child!

Lauren looked around and bolted towards the open door. When she arrived at the building, she closed the door behind her. Looking around, she seemed to be in some sort of food storage area. Various different foods supplies lined the shelves and floor.

Lauren looked up and saw a window just above her. However, it was too high up for her to reach by herself. She noticed a barrel nearby and walked towards it. It was tall enough to let her reach the window sill, and short enough to let herself climb up on it.

Lauren reached up to climb the barrel, struggling to pull herself up.

Suddenly, without warning, the barrel tipped over; spilling it’s contents all over Lauren’s little body.

Lauren found herself laying in a sticky, golden puddle. She tried to stand up, only to yelp as she slipped and fell face first into the puddle. Lauren struggled to get up, when a drop of the liquid landed on her lip. Curiosity getting the better of her, Lauren licked her lips and tasted the sweet smelling liquid she was currently covered in.

“It tastes like…” Lauren said to herself, trying to place both the smell and taste. Her eyes widened in realization as she finally placed it! “It’s honey!”

Lauren quickly remembered that the building she was in was connected to an exhibit, and she didn’t want to be some snack for a bear. Realizing that the window was out of the question now, Lauren went back to the door…

Only to hear the knob begin to turn!

Lauren panicked. She needed to hide!
