You still have business here

With a contented sigh, you stretch out across Sabrina’s couch. You vaguely recall that Sabrina was on your lap, but you quickly spot her sitting on the floor. She seems to be awake.

“Oh, Emilia. You’re up. What do you want to do today? You’ll stay, because you’re my best friend… right?”

Even if she says that, it doesn’t sound like she means it at all. Her heart is somewhere else entirely.

“You already know the answer to that, don’t you?”

Sabrina sighs deeply. “I know. You’re not my best friend. And you’re leaving Saffron City.”

“Yeah, you’re right. I’m not leaving right away though. Get dressed. We’re going to the dojo.”

“Th-The dojo!? No, I can’t go there. The only challenger I’ve ever beaten works there. She still hates me. She’d probably beat me up if I went! She’s really strong!”

“Oh yeah,” you realize, “you’re supposed to have a low win rate, aren’t you? But you’re strong. Why do you lose so much?”

Sabrina flinches at your blunt questions. “Well, uh, ever since I beat Kim, I’ve been pretty bummed out. She applied to be a Gym Leader around the same time I did, but the league picked me. She was really mad, so she challenged me for the rights to the Gym. After I won, I asked if we could be friends.” You have a feeling she was a lot pushier than that. “It’s only natural, right? But she just screamed a lot and ran out. My battle against you was the first time I’ve been able to properly communicate with my pokemon since then. So I couldn’t even put up a fight against the challengers before you…”

“Hmm…” It sounds like Master Kim and Sabrina have a lot to talk about. “Well, I think talking would be a lot of help in this situ-”

“Especially the boys from the dojo. Once they figured out I wasn’t able to battle very well, they started dropping by all the time. There’s no rule against challenging a Gym Leader more than once, so they kept challenging me, and I never beat any of them, even once… I’ll kill them, by the way.”

You vaguely remember a cork board in Master Kim’s old dojo, and it was completely covered in gold circles. Ohhhhh… Those were badges from Sabrina…

“And they always made me have sex with them when they won. At first it was just humiliating, but because they’re so big and strong, soon I couldn’t-”
