BR Day 4 - Hurry up and eat

You get lunch, wondering what is going on with Michelle. Beth listens excitedly as Riona and Duni speculate about the new league. A lot of the girls are talking about their career plans and prospects, wondering how a new league will change things for them.

You finish quickly and leave Beth with the others, going to find Michelle. She takes you up to her room and this is obviously a serious talk.

"Is something wrong?" you ask her.

"No, you are doing well," she says, seeming a bit grumpy about it. "So well that they are making you a captain."

"A captain of what?"

"Of a team. It's not a surprise. You were already doing well, then you got all that attention. So of course they're doing this. It's good news," Michelle says.

"Why are you acting like it's bad news?"

"Because I know you are about to fight me," she says. "I can't tell you about what they are announcing tomorrow, but you'll find out in the morning. But it is a big opportunity for you. I need you to focus on soccer."

"You're about to tell me to stay away from Beth," you say.

"Riley, you are a mess. Where did you disappear to last night?"

"I really like her."

"I know! But this is a bad time," Michelle says. "I'm not asking you to break it off, but have to cool it. And there's something else."

"What?" you ask, pissed off. You know Michelle is right, but you are still mad. You have fallen in love lots of times, but none of those girls have ever liked you back before. You feel like Michelle doesn't understand.

"Riley, I'm trying to help you! I told you, you're a captain. Beth is not. She's a good player, but..."

"But what?"

"You are going to get a lot of attention, but I don't know if she will. That could be hard on you two. You need to take a breath and remember why you are here. And why she is here. She came a long way to be here. You don't want personal drama to mess up your career. It could have consequences for a long time."

Michelle is cheating! You groan. Of course you don't want to mess up Beth's experience here. You like her so much that you would give up your career in a second if it would help her... and you know that is stupid, because you have only known her a few days. Michelle has a point. You are thinking with your heart and your penis, not your head.

"OK," you say.

"I'm not telling you to break up. But you have to keep it a secret. There are people watching. And you have to be ready to not be together all the time like you have been."

"What does that mean?" you ask.

"You'll find out tomorrow. Today you should enjoy yourself. Spend some time with her. That's what this place is for," she says, gesturing at the lodge. "But tomorrow it's back to work."

"OK," you agree.

It's good news mixed with bad. It sounds like cool things are happening, but... now your situation with Beth seems problematic.

You go back downstairs to find her waiting for you on one of the couches.

Do you tell her what Michelle told you? Or maybe you shouldn't. Maybe you should just have fun today and let Beth find out tomorrow.
