Play videogames and meet May's parents

After Scarlet and i left our backpacks at the dresser we joined Daisy and Ellie at the couch, i asked Daisy as they were focused playing on the tv "What are you playing?" She took a while to break focus and answer me so as she ignored me for a bit i looked at the tv screen to see that they were playing a very familiar game, she finally replied "Oh we are playing Mario Kart" as i heard her response i exclaimed enthusiastically "I love Mario Kart, can i play?!" She continued playing but nodded and quietly said "After i finish this race" i looked excitedly around, Scarlet was smiling at me as i looked like a kid, waiting eagerly to play a videogame - Mario Kart was a game that i grew with, Nintendo in general was my childhood so i loved every game from them, at least from the Wii era because i owned a Wii that i played with Annie. I noticed that May had a Wii and that's where Daisy and Ellie were playing, i got even more excited to see that they were playing Mario Kart Wii, my favorite Mario Kart game.

I exclaimed again with enthusiasm "May this is so cool! How do you have a Wii?" She was at the kitchen so when i called her name she quickly returned to the living room, she giggled and said jokingly "What, are you also joining them? Am i going to have everyone playing videogames at this sleepover?" I chuckled and said "Well just a few games wouldn't do much harm..." she rolled her eyes and continued saying "I had that Wii since i was little, i played quite a lot but now the girls use it more than me, they seem to be fans of those games... me, i'm not that into it but i play from time to time" i smiled at her as i thought it was really cool for her to share her games even though she didn't play - i remembered what Scarlet told me at the bus, May bought games just so the girls could play, that was such a nice thing to do and proved to me that May was a good friend.

Daisy and Ellie finished playing and at the end, the winners cutscene showed that Daisy won, she was at first place, she jumped from the couch with cheers "WOO HOOO!!! Yeah baby! I got first place! In your face Ellie... i'm the best... how many wins in a row now? I think 6, right?" She started flaunting and being very confident about her victory so i decided to step in and say "Hey Daisy, i bet you can't beat me..." she turned her attention to me and stared with furious eyes, she jokingly said "Are you challenging me?" I chuckled and nodded, she became very playful but i felt that she was very competitive, she placed the controller on the coffee table at the middle and said "First i'll let you warm up a bit... why don't you play a little with Scarler first?" I gave her a judgmental look, i was questioning her intentions but i decided to go with it and grabbed both controllers, i handed one to Scarlet and asked her "Want to play" she smiled at me and seemed really excited to play.

We chose our characters and cars that we were going to use, she picked King Boo, i noticed that they had unlocked every single character in the game so they had Funky Kong - i was an expert with Funky Kong so i obviously picked it and we ended up choosing the Mushroom cup, the first cup and probably the easiest one. As soon as i saw the start of Luigi Circuit i got a huge sense of nostalgia, i was playing one of the best games from my childhood after like a decade, i was the best player in the world back then but now i was probably a little rusty so when the raced started i forgot some of the controls so i had a bad start, Daisy, Ellie and Scarlet teased me for not knowing how to play but they didn't know what i was capable of doing.

There's not much to say, i had a great time playing all of those tracks from my childhood, the first race i performed poorly but then i quickly catched up at the second race, i placed first and beat Scarlet, we both laughed about it but i could feel that the next two races were going to be more competitive and we were probably not going to be that friendly towards each other. I kept my streak of placing first in the third race and at the start of the fourth i looked at Scarlet and said "Ready to lose?" She frowned and then pouted "You wouldn't beat a girl like me right? Can you please let me win?" I chuckled and just said "Nah" and we continued playing - now we were at the fourth and final track, we both were really close on points so this was probably the definitive race. Before the race started i thought Oh man, can i let Scarlet win? I mean i know i'm going to win this one, is Toad's Factory... i know this track like the back of my hand, there's no way i lose this... but should i do it? It would definitely make Scarlet feel better but i don't want Daisy to see me lose because it would mean that i'm a bad player... damn, alright just win this track, i will find another way to make Scarlet feel better later... hehehe.

As expected, i won that race with ease, Scarlet bumped so many times with walls and tight turns that it wasn't even a competition. She accepted her defeat playfully and we both laughed and had a great time, Daisy on the other hand was staring at us with a malicious look, she was going to say something but suddenly we were interrupted as a door opened from the back of the room and we heard some footsteps getting closer to us, we all turned around to see two figures, standing outside of the hallway that i saw before.

I don't know how i knew that those two people were May's parents, i just knew it - it was also confirmed when Daisy said "Hello Mr. And Ms. Spring, how are you doing?... we are playing some games, sorry for arriving earlier" I knew that they already met her parents before but i didn't so i sat there akwardly, hoping that they wouldn't notice me there, May's father said with a deep and calm voice "Oh is fine Daisy, we love having you here" and then May's mom giggled, it was weird hearing them, at least her mom, her voice sounded similar to May's and that's when i started paying more attention to her - May's father was a good looking, tall bearded guy with glasses and dark brown hair, he seemed like a smart guy, an intelectual even from how he was dressed. May's mom was different though, she looked a lot like May herself, like an older May, not as attractive or curvy or gorgeous as May, but still i found her pretty and looked like a good woman - i didn't want to stare too much at her body or pay too much attention at her appearance because it was weird and also there was nothing that caught my attention from her, not even her body or face that looked similar to May's, she was also blonde but didn't have the beautiful green eyes that May had, his father had those eyes though, May's mom also had a nice face structure but again, nothing too interesting.

After giving a good look at her parents May left the kitchen to see that we were all staring at her parents that just entered the living room, she quickly realised that they were standing outside of the hallway and said "Hi dad... mom, do you know where i left that jar with the..." she was interrupted by her own mom who quickly replied "Oh yes, it's on top of the cupboard, here let me show you" she walked behind the couch, i was kinda hiding for some reason because i was nervous of meeting her parents, May looked at me and her eyes widened up, she exclaimed "Oh yeah, André, come meet my parents!" I got extremely nervous but i composed myself and gathered the courage to stand up and wave at her parents, i said "Hello, i'm André..." there was a small silence that almost turned akward but it was avoided by May's father who said "Oh so you are André... May has told us a lot about you..." i looked at May to see that she was flushing a little, i chuckled and said jokingly "Oh really? What has she told you about me?" May's dad now walked to the couch where her mom was standing and wrapped her arm around her, he continued saying "Well she has told us that you are really smart, you seem like a very responsible young man..." May's mom continued his sentence by saying "And quite handsome too..." i chuckled, i wasn't that surprised by May's mom calling me handsome but i knew that May was probably dying from embarassment right now, i looked behind to see that May was in fact covering her red face, she almost went back to the kitchen but then May's dad continued saying "Well let us introduce ourselves... i am Richard, May's father... and..." Now May's mom said right after Richard "I'm Amy, May's loving mother..." they both giggled but i got a little confused then - i thought about her name for a second and then asked "Wait, Amy... that sounds oddly similar to May for some reason, right?" She giggled "Yes, we named her after me... May it's just Amy with the M before the A" _Oh yeah, May... move the M in front of the A and you get Amy, nice... _i thought before they continued talking.

"We have to go out now so it's a shame we can't get to know you more today André... hopefully we can see you more often at our house... we love every single one of May's friends and we are looking forward to having you spend more time here" Amy said, i was surprised by her hospitality, i just met her and it was the first time staying at her house and she was already talking about me spending more time at May's house, it was cool but it did feel a little weird for some reason. They walked to May and they both gave her a goodbye kiss, she responded by saying "Bye mom, bye dad... i will see you tomorrow" Richard responded as the three of them were walking to the front door "We trust you to not destroy the house May" they all laughed and then May said "You know i always keep the house clean, i promise that we won't cause too much chaos" they were now at the door so i couldn't hear them that well, i did managed to hear Amy say to her in a joking manner "Just keep and eye out for that boy that you brought, i like him and he seems like a cute boyfriend for you..." - maybe i misheard that but i was pretty sure that she said something about a boyfriend to May, my doubs were quickly confirmed as we all heard May exclaim "Moooom!! Don't say that!" They all giggled but i felt a bit akward, i never liked people shipping other people, is cool if someone shipped me and May but now that Scarlet was my girlfriend i really didn't want to look at her like that, i a romantic way that would never happen because i knew she was too good of a friend and i couldn't afford to lose her in some relationship bullshit.

May closed the door as her parents left the house, she quicky ran to the living room and excitedly exclaimed "Girls... we have the house for ourselves!!!" They all cheered before she continued saying "You know what that means... we can do whatever we want and be as loud as possible for the whole night... i think they din't come back until 4pm so we have a ton of time... this is going to be the best sleepover ever!!!" We all cheered again and then i jokingly said "That means that things are going to get wild now?" She chuckled and playfully said "Not really... i have a lot of activities planned and most of them are chill buuut... we could try something new if you want" i honestly didn't know what she meant by that, if only she had winked after i would now that she was being flirty but i really didn't know with May - anyways, i was really excited to see what we were going to do at this sleepover that was apparently already taking place.
