What Is Selina After?

"They call it the Blood of Blaze. It's supposed to be the heart of a demon and to have mystic powers—but as far as the Gemological Institute of America is concerned, it's a fifty-carat red diamond."

A Cheshire grin slid easily onto Selina Kyle's features. She looked ready to purr just at the thought of that treasure.

"You want to steal it?" Lois said, unable to keep the surprise from her voice.

Selina shrugged. "Why not? It was originally stolen from some temple in the first place. Finders keepers, as far as I'm concerned."

Lois shook her head. "Not sure I'm okay with that."

The thief flashed her that smile. Lois suddenly realized how a canary feels when cornered by a farm cat.

"And what did you come here for?"

So Lois explained about the missing women. Selina listened intently, the grin disappearing, but she always seemed to be keeping one ear cocked for what else was happening. She nodded slowly as Lois finished.

"If what I've heard about the Blood of Blaze is true—I might know where your missing women are." She seemed to consider her options. "Tell you what. Promise to leave me out of your story, and you can come with me. You'll get your story, and I'll get the gem."

Still sopping wet with sperm, lost and underground, Lois had little choice but to agree.

"Now, strip." The thief said. "You're not going to be doing much sneaking in those cum-drenched rags."
