Her skirt got caught on a desk

Chihiro had never walked around without underwear before, and the feeling of the new experience was incredibly discomforting to the shy girl. The swish of her skirt against her newly bare flesh as she walked felt both very smooth and soft as well as embarrassing. Furthermore, Chihiro was far more aware of the flow of air as she walked, as well as just how chilly the school's air conditioning could be.

It's okay, Chihiro. the nervous girl thought to herself. Nobody knows but you and that horrible bully. Just try to ignore it for now.

What Chihiro failed to notice, however, was the somewhat worn reading desk she passed on her way out of the library. The edge of the desktop, worn and damaged by years of student use and ****, had places where the wood had become jagged and sharp. Chihiro just happened to pass this desk a bit too closely, her hip brushing against its edge as she passed, several threads of her skirt catching on the jagged splinters...

Unaware of this new issue, Chihiro continued on her way out of the library, studiously avoiding eye contact with anybody she happened to pass. Of course, this behavior was normal for Chihiro, and nobody paid her any mind as she scurried out into the hallway. Equally unnoticed were the strands of thread trailing behind her, her skirt shrinking bit by bit as she walked further away. At first, Chihiro's skirt seemed completely normal, but the gradual deconstruction of the piece of clothing slowly became apparent. As Chihiro climbed the stairs to return to her classroom, her skirt had shortened by a few inches, exposing more of her legs than she had ever shown off at school. Suddenly, the normally-invisibly Chihiro was drawing a few looks, though she did her best to ignore them, just as she always did.
