Desc: A temporary place to rest at night until your true lodgings have been created. Includes: 3 resting areas, 1 fire pit, 1 small storage, 1 small crafting station (basic). Able to be deconstructed for 50 fame.

"No fucking way." You say unintelligently. "Where the hell did all that stone come from!?"

"The tunnels! The pebble golem must have some kind of excavation skill that allowed it to collect all this stone." You realize. Looking at the list you quickly exit the cave and make your way to the entrance. "Badger, with me. Shadow familiarize yourself with the new cave system. Pebble golem is currently guarding the lair so its fine to leave your post." You command before leaving the cave. The sun is just starting to set, but a quick thought of how nice it will be to not sleep on the floor has you running down the mountain. You spend an hour or so collecting branches, not straying too far from your lair, not at this time of night.

"Hehehehoohohogohogo!!!!" You hear echoing in the distance. You stop dead in your tracks. "Hehehehoohohogohogo!!!" Again this strange, eerie laughter echoes through the woods. Pulling out your spear, you ready yourself for any any situation.

"Badger!" You whisper loudly. The badger pops its head up from behind a rock and looks at you. "C'mon!"

When you return home, you push the thought of whatever made that laughter out of your head and walk calmly towards the final chamber of your lair. Once your there you add the temporary lodgings down and get to work.

"Damn, why didn't i think to steal some equipment while in Utnop." You mutter as you build. Once finished, you take a look at what you have built. There was a small fire pit marking the center of the camp, surrounded by three mats made of rabbit skin. On the side was a small pile of sticks. Next to that was a small chest and table. On the table were some basic tools to help you craft something.

"Let's see how this works." You say before approaching the table.

You quickly realize that the list of things to craft was extremely short, either due to you not having the recipe, or the limited capabilities of the table. But, there are a few things that peak your interest here.

Hammer: 3 stone, 2 wood, any

Pickaxe: 3 ore, any, 3 wood, any

Axe: 2 ore, any, 3 wood, any

Health potion: ???, glass vial

Dart trap: ???, ???, ???

You quickly grab whats left of the oak and craft the hammer, axe, and pickaxe before pocketing them in your inventory. With that, you start a fire, finally cooking your last piece of rabbit meat, and go to sleep on your new bed.

"Hehehehoohohogohogo!" You bolt up from your fur pile, the sounds of that hideous laughter echoing thoughout your cave. "Come out Pointy eared one!" You hear. You pull out your spear and exit your cave to see a strange beast standing on the opposite side of the pit.

"Who are you? And what is it you want of me?" You ask. The beast laughs once more before pointing an axe at you.

"You are enemy of spirit master?" It asks. taking a moment to unravel the broken common.

"Yes, I've run across their minions a few times." You respond, unsure of where this is going. You kind of wish you hadn't made the pit so large, you could barely make out the form of this beast.

"Good. Fight me. Near raining water. You win, I join you. I win I eat you." It says before leaving the caves. At that moment, the shadow appears before you and motions towards the exit.

"Yes. I noticed. Going to have to increase your speed in the future." You mumble as you put on your armor. After about twenty minutes of walking you end up outside, where the strange beast person is waiting for you. You stop about 30 feet away, and study its strange body.

It stands tall, with black, mane like hair, and potted brown-grey fur. It has a beast's face with a large red scar running down its snout. One of its ears is missing a chunk, while the other has a few piercings in it. It stands on two feet, and is wearing a mismatched amalgamation of leather and iron armor. In its hands are two axes and on its back you can make out a bow.

Gnoll Lvl ???

"Tell my Gnoll, why are you planning to join me if I win?" You inquire as you ready your spear. Letting out it's laugh, it lunges at you, swinging wildly with its axes. You parry the strikes and pierce its left arm, causing it to let out a yip.

It raises both its axes for a downward strike only for you to block with the wood part of your spear. It gives you a crazed look before it sinks its teeth into your arm. "Gah!" You grunt. Switching tactics you relax your arms, causing the Gnoll to fall forwards. With quick timing you duck under its body and send it sprawling onto it's stomach.

You quickly get up and swing your spear around before leaving a large gash on its back. It rolls forward, and suprises you by pulling out it's bow, loosing two arrows one after another. The first on grazes you, but luckily you dodged the second. You bridge the gap between you, stabbing into its leg. It howls in rage before it uses it's own large long reach to trip you. With a grunt, your on the ground, the Gnoll looming above you.

The Gnoll once more tries to dismember you with a double axe attack, but you kick it right between the legs, causing it to fall down in pain. You jump up and get a bit of distance, just enough to be out of reach. With a quick glance you see your both around half in terms of health.

The Gnoll stands up and grabs its axes, the look on it's face gives you all the clues you need to see what it thinks about you right now. With a snarl it swings it's axe's at you. You backpedaled, keeping just out of reach. As you do so, you pull out your throwing knives and chuck a few its way, widdling away its health. Soon your out of knives, but the Gnoll has about a fifth of its health left.

Rebrandishing your spear you twirl it around it's arms, knocking it off balance. Using your momentum, you continue twirling the spear around and slam it into it's leg, causing it to fall. You stand over the Gnoll, ready to pierce it's hide. Suddenly, the ground starts shaking, causing you to fall to the ground.

"The update!" You realize. The gnoll tries to get to it's feet but falls, the earthquake too much for it's damaged body. You pick yourself up before helping the Gnoll and head for your lair. "Quickly! My lair is safe! This area is undergoing an update!" You yell over the noise. Tree's are falling to the ground, bird's are flying away, and the waterfall is spraying water in all directions. You eventually make it to your lair, and with the Gnoll's help, quickly shut the door.

"Ground shake!? Never felt before." It exclaims.

"Its called an earthquake. The gods are changing this part of the world. But they told me that my lair would be fine." You say. The gnoll snorts before sitting down on a large rock. In here, the earthquake is much calmer, a simple rumble beneath you.

"You win fight pointy ears. I join you." It says.

A Gnoll has asked to join you!

Accept Gnoll? Y/N.

"I accept. But we're going to have to work on your common." You explain. Out of nowhere the badger appears and sits next to you, eyeing up the Gnoll.

"So tell me Gnoll, why did you come to me?" You ask as you yourself sit down.

"Saw Pointed eared one run from Heroes. Escaped with.... escaped. Clan captured by Spirit Master. Turned into witherlings. I out hunting, find clan gone, captured. Escaped with scars. See pointed eared Mini-boss. Judge strength, you pass." It explains in it's limited capabilities.

"I see, so the necromancer has captured your people and turned them into a... witherling was it?" You ask. It gives you nod.

"They have been giving much grief since my accention to Mini-boss. Tell me Gnoll, you are a hunter yes? What else can you do?"

"Hunt, track, kill, rage." It explains.

"I see. Well, Gnoll, i only have one nore question before i show you the place. Are you male or female?" You ask. You have no actual clue, having never met a Gnoll before.

"Male." He says. You nod before motioning for it to stand. You go around and introduce him to the rest of your minions as you show it around your abode. "Mmm... will do for sleep." He says before it picks a fur pile and lays down. Within a few minutes, he's asleep, and with the current update going on, you decide to join him.

The next morning you open your stone doors to the outside world, the update having finished in the early hours of the morning.
