He was naked, all pretense of humanity discarded as he flapped hard to gain altitude, Hawkgirl's own wings beating fiercely as she chased him.

From far above, the reporter and the demon watched the two figures chase each other across the sky...swooping down, meeting in mid-air briefly, then turning back again. The new Hawkgirl's uniform was torn, and blood scratches dripped from the Man-Bat's chest. Lois watched breathlessly as he seemed to fall beneath the layer of the clouds. Hawkgirl circled the spot warily...lower and lower, seeking her foe...
