What's next?
David’s next day at work
David was forced to be Destiny incarnate till 9pm of her day with Chuck it was the longest stretch he had her in his mouth yet, but he knew it wouldn’t be the longest moving forward, especially the way Destiny’s impact on his job was, combined with the number of people who’ve been asking for Destiny’s number. It had gotten to the point where Destiny didn’t wait to be requested, she assumed every phone call was for her as she popped into David’s mouth and took over every time his phone rang.
It was especially bothersome with this recent surge of bot calls and telemarketers. Every pre-recorded message concerning David’s not existent car’s expired warranty she made sure to hear the message through to completion.
Even with the telemarketers, Destiny quickly got into the habit of striking up conversations with the telemarketers- which they, of course, took an immediate liking to her. Calls where an agent would start with trying to sell life insurance turned into an hours-long conversation about life, aspirations and chasing your dreams. “I wouldn’t be where I am today if I didn’t decide to take control- and I’ve never been happier.”
These calls always ended along the lines of:
“It was such a pleasure to make your acquaintance, Destiny!”
“The pleasure was all mine! And if you ever want to talk again, about anything at all, don’t hesitate to call me!”
“We’re normally not supposed to- but I just might!”
“Please do!”
These exchanges going on while David was forced to sit there, swallow, and comply.
The rare times when someone called requesting to speak to David, Destiny would always say, “I’m sorry, you called at the absolute worst time- David’s got his mouth full. He’ll have to call you back.”
“He’s eating?” The person would normally ask.
“Always...”
If the person calling David was a man, she would then continue the call relentlessly flirting with them until they asked her out on a date.
Destiny was doing everything in her power to ensure she had more of David’s time. While David could only watch at how his life was gradually transforming to this bizarrely tragic existence.
——
David walked out of Destiny’s manager’s office, after being yelled for his no show the previous Friday, and began to woefully return to his desk when he immediately saw Steve rolling in with a rose in his hand.
“Oh no!” David muttered to himself trying to look for places to hide from Steve- or at the very least hide Steve from Destiny, but the mere notion was moot as Destiny already noticed him and made her approach for control.
“Destiny! Hey,” Steve greeted her, “David’s not around is he?”
“No, I had him run out to get me coffee an hour ago. Good work is hard to find.”
“Is it weird working with your ex-fiancé? It sounds like that would be awkward.”
“It’s not weird at all,” Destiny said, “in fact I demanded it when I was offered the job. I like it that he’s now forced to answer to my beckoning”
“Wow,” Steve said shocked, “that’s cold. Breaking up with him, and then forcing him to be demoted and work immediately under his ex while she messes around with his old co-worker? Was there a pay decrease?”
“By half.”
“Ouch, that’s gotta be rough.”
“Are you starting to feel sorry for him,” Destiny asked.
“No,” He said, “but seeing you be like this...is SUCH a turn-on for me.”
‘Well of course,’ David thought.
“Oh really?” Destiny replied coyly.
“Really.” He smiled.
“If you think that’s a turn on, then you haven’t seen ANYthing yet.”
‘What’s that supposed to mean?’ David fearfully thought.
“What’s that supposed to mean?” Steve excited asked.
“Invite me out again, and you’ll see. I should let you know...I’ve been working on my...technique”
“How about this weekend?” Steve asked.
“If you think you can wait that long.”
“Oooh!”
‘Destiny! What are you doing?!’ David yelled in his thoughts, ‘What are you up to?’
“Now that you mention it...I don’t know if I can...”
“If you can’t...let me know...” she said seductively.
