David wakes up in the aftermath of Destiny’s actions

David woke up to the unfortunate notion that Destiny was still in his mouth. As he started to return to reality he was able to discern some differences with this scenario- most notably he had control of his body.

He open his eyes and lifted his head and was shocked to see that it wasn’t Destiny that was in his mouth when he woke up.

“Destiny...what are you turning me into...?” He fearfully asked while glancing down at Destiny. Luckily nothing more happened between Chuck and Destiny the previous night, so he was still wearing Sarah’s outfit that Destiny wore on the date. All he has to do was quietly get out of bed and sneak out of Chuck’s place without waking Chuck or Destiny.

David quietly lifted himself off of Chuck and quietly stepped off of the bed- accidentally tripping over the stacked glass bottles that Destiny incarnate had placed on the floor after David fell asleep.

Flashback:

“What are you doing with those bottles,” Chuck asked.

“I’m weird in the mornings, so I’m placing these here to remember to say goodbye, if I wake up before you.”

With the clashing sound of glass Chuck and Destiny both spring to life.

“You really weren’t kidding about being weird in the mornings,” Chuck said to David’s back while Destiny shot out from the hem of the skirt he was wearing in the approach to his face.

“No, no, no!” David whispered angrily at Destiny, “this has gone on long enough!”

His argument failed as always as Destiny ignored them and maneuvered her way into his mouth anyway. “I’m just going to say goodbye, jerk”

Destiny turned around to face Chuck, “ha...what did I tell you?”

“I had a lot of fun last night,” Chuck said.

“Yeah, me too.” Destiny yelled and began to turn around.

“Do you really have to go so soon?”

Destiny stopped in her tracks and turned to face Chuck again, “I have to go to work...” she said with a hint of sadness.

“Couldn’t you call in sick?”

Destiny took an endearing step forward.

David was screaming, “don’t you do it, I’ve been on this date as you for long enough!”

“You really want to spend the day with me?” Destiny asked Chuck.

“Of course I do! Do you want to spend the day with me?”

“Yes!” Destiny said with a big grin on her face- well in her illusion anyway. David’s face most certainly did not have a grin.

Destiny took David’s phone and called her manager, “hey, I’m not feeling well. So I’m not going to come in today. Don’t worry, my assistant should still be coming in and can handle any urgent responsibilities. Thank you.”

And just like that, Destiny indebted David to spend who knows how much longer as Destiny incarnate and managed to throw him further under the bus at work.
