Does he finally make it to the tower?
Yes, and a shocking meeting awaits
Naruto managed to make it to the Hokage tower without any further interruptions. Not that he was minding them, seeing as they usually ended pretty well so far. Now he was running down the halls of the tower with just a minute to spare. In a rush, he slammed the door to the Hokages office open widely. “Hey, Grandma Tsunade!”, he yelled only to receive a sharp hit to his head.
“NARUTO! BE QUIET AND STOP CALLING ME OLD!”, Tsunade yelled before sitting back down in her chair. “Now Naruto, this is important. I take it Tayuya managed to get you the scroll?”, she inquired. Naruto smiled, remembering her unique method in delivering it. “Yeah she did, in a way, but I rushed over here so fast and got… sidetracked too, so I didn’t get a chance to read it, hehe.”, he admitted.
Tsunade sighed, rubbing her temples a bit with her hands before speaking. “Fine, the gist of the message is that someone who apparently knows you from one of your old missions has arrived here. She has decided to live here from now on and will make a fine addition to the village.”, Tsunade gave him the rundown.
Naruto smiled. “And she wanted me to give her the grand tour, am I right?” ,Naruto asked, making Tsunade smile. “Bingo, I’ll have her come in now”, she said.
Shortly after that, a very stunning looking woman came into the room. She was dressed in a blue kimono that hugged her body, showing the curves underneath, her long dark black hair hung down her back and around her face which was currently smiling at Naruto.
“You have grown, Naruto-kun.”, the woman said, making Naruto look at her weirdly.
Squinting in the direction of the raven-haired female in the nice looking kimono, Naruto said. “Hmm… I’ve seen you somewhere before.”. She gave him a soft smile, eyes sparkling in delight that he recognized her face. “Yes, you have. But it has been quite some time now.”, she said, further puzzling Naruto.
Crossing his arms at mid-chest, Naruto wracked his brain for a moment. “Sorry, but I’ve been to so many places, it’s hard to pick out one face from them.”, he admitted. The woman smiled nevertheless. “I’ll help you out.”, she said, giggling quietly for a moment. “Remember nearly five years ago, in the land of Waves, the battle that took place on the bridge you protected there?”
Something clicked in his head and he let everyone know it as loud as he could.
“HOLY SHIT!”, Naruto screamed, flipping upside down grasping the ceiling like a frightened house cat. “YOU CANT BE HERE HAKU!”. Tsunade had been through enough of this. “NARUTO, IF YOU DON”T GET DOWN I WILL HURT YOU!”, Tsunade yelled in annoyance. “But Grandma, she’s supposed to be dead! She's a GHOST!” Naruto yelled, making Tsunade sigh again. They all knew how scared Naruto was of ghosts.“Naruto, I know all about Haku’s supposed ****, believe me when I say she is as alive as you and me are, so get down here before I pull you down!”
“So, you’re not a ghost come back to haunt Kakashi-sensei for killing you?”, Naruto asked Haku from his position on the ceiling. “No, Naruto-kun, I’m not a ghost.“, she replied with a smile on her face “Wow.”, Naruto said, landing softly on his feet. “You’re a lot better than I could have ever thought. You even fooled Kakashi-sensei.”.
Haku blushed under the high praise. “Thank you, Naruto-kun.”. Before they could catch up though, their conversation was interrupted. “Now Naruto, show Haku around the village while I get her a place to stay temporarily.”, Tsunade ordered. Naruto smiled and nodded before leading Haku out of the room.
Naruto listened while Haku told him of her escape from the bridge as they walked through one of the villages many parks. Apparently, the Haku that they had fought on the bridge wasn’t the real one, but a very convincing fake created by her deceased mentor Zabuza using a very dangerous and forbidden mist village Jutsu. The night before the attack, he seemed to have **** her so she would sleep for the whole next day. By the time she had realized what had happened, it was already over and she was alone again.
A nice older couple in the village soon took her in though, and she often heard tales from the villagers about his fight on the bridge, his speech and how he saved the town from being looted by the mercenaries. Eventually the old couple passed away a few weeks ago and so she decided she should seek the blond hero out.
“That’s a good story, Haku-chan but I got a question: Why did you say you were a boy when we met in the forest?”, he asked. She smiled looking at him. “Most people try to take advantage of female ninja, so I pretended to be a boy at the time. Besides, it was Zabuza’s idea to begin with.”, she explained. Naruto smirked in return. “Well, I can see why you did that now, but I knew there was no way you were a boy with a such a pretty face like that.”, he chuckled.
She giggled again as he blush grew. “So, what made you want to come to the village anyway?” Naruto asked suddenly, making her stare at him with a far off look in her eyes. “I hated him for a while.”, she said. “If he hadn’t held me back from fighting to protect him, Zabuza might still be alive. But as time went on, I came to realize that if I had done that, I could as well be dead with him and everything he had done for me would have been wasted. At that point, I didn’t know if I should be happy or angry. I’m happy to be alive but then I was alone. And it’s so hard to be all alone in this world, being unwanted.”, she said, a pained expression on her face... and she did not need to speak further, because Naruto knew exactly how she felt.
She then turned to face Naruto directly. “I then remembered that you told me that there were other precious people in your life and I never stopped looking for some to call my own again. So I decided to try and found that you were right. The old couple was good to me. I felt like I was part of a family again, like I was when my parents were still alive.” She then took a step closer to Naruto. “But something is still missing. So I came here hoping that you had the answer.”, she looked at him while saying this.
Naruto blinked. She came here to ask him what was missing in her life. He barely knew what he was doing most of the time, so all he managed was a sigh. “I wish I could tell you, Haku-chan, but this is something you have to find on your own”, he said. Haku smiled. “I think I did. I think… what I have been looking for is for someone to love”, she said and only then, Naruto noticed that she looked at him meaningfully.
Naruto almost tripped in surprise. “L-Love?”, he stuttered, making her blush grow again as she nodded. “The hokage told me about your clan, about needing wives and I know we don’t know each other well, but you’re the only guy I think Zabuza would think is right for me, so… can I be one?”, she asked quietly. Naruto looked at Haku. In the girls eyes he saw hope and a bit of fear mixed with one thing he had seen in all the other girls so far…love.
Naruto smiled and nodded before being tackled by Haku to the ground with her lips against his. Their make out session lasted a good ten minutes before Haku pulled away to get her breath back. “You know, Haku-chan, we have a lot of catching up to do later. Before the wedding, maybe I can take you out so the others can meet you too?”, he suggested,
“That sounds nice, Naruto.”, Haku said before letting him get up. “Well, I have to get back to the hokage and find out where I’m living for now, I’ll see you soon”, Haku said before kissing his cheek and running off.
Naruto looked at the time, it was getting pretty late, so he figured he should get some sleep and start fresh in the morning. He quickly returned to his apartment and without even changing fell onto his bed, asleep in minutes and dreaming of his soon to be wives.
How does his night go? His morning?
