Training the Kamikaze Fireballs

You arrive at you planet and call Caulifla, Kale, Brianne, Sanka, and Sous out into the arena.

"You three will fight free of restrictions against Kale and Caulifla until you win." You cross your arms. "They'll be wearing their weighted clothing, so it won't be like before."

"Excuse me, Lord John." Sous interjects. "How exactly is this making us stronger?"

"You'll get stronger through experience." Caulifla responds before you can start. "We beat your asses bad last time, so we'll keep doing it until you can find an answer to our strategies!"

"That's right. This will teach you how to improvise and turn disadvantages into advantages..." You turn and begin to walk away. "It's something you three were lacking." You stand outside the arena and watch.

After what felt like an eternity the Kamikaze Fireballs finally began to show progress, but it made little difference. The three of them continued with the same strategy as instructed, and have so far only Sous has managed to make notable progress, she has managed to land an attack on Kale. Sanka on the other hand, has managed to prevent Caulifla from manipulating her position, but now she simply gets parried or counter attacked.

Much later, only when Caulifla began to show signs of exhaustion did Sanka manage to keep Caulifla from parrying. Though an accomplishment, Caulifla could counter as easily as sticking out her fist and leaning forward.

"Okay, okay!" You walk to the center of the arena. "You aren't making any progress and my girls are starting to get exhausted, it doesn't even seem helpful to them anymore." You send your girls inside. "It looks like I'll have to work with you three individually, but for now let's call it a night."

Kale and Caulifla are already sleeping in your bed by the time you open the door to your chamber. You only barely started to sneak your way throughout the room when you heard a tapping through the hallway.

You decide to go to the source and find Brianne. "What is it?" You ask, crossing your arms.

"It's nothing really, I was simply going to ask you about tomorrow's training."

"That all depends on you. Tommorow, I'll fight each of you individually, then together. From there I will determine what we need to do, of course there will be simply strength training as well."

"I see, thank you Lord John." Brianne begins walking to her new room in your castle.

"Goodnight, Brianne." You say, turning to your own chamber. You hear her footsteps stop.

"Goodnight, Lord John." She hesitates.

The next day you wake up to Caulifla complaining to Kale about being sore.

"I'm telling you, that weighted clothing is too much."

"It might be because of how long we were sparring with it." Kale suggests. "We weren't just moving or practicing, we were fighting very fast opponents."

"What's there speed got to do with anything?" Caulifla unecessarily yells.

"Can we stop with the loud noises so early?" You groan as you sit up in bed.

"Oh, Lord John." Kale starts. "Those three girls are waiting for you in the arena."

When you arrive at the arena the Kamikaze Fireballs are already transformed and warmed up.

"Everybody ready?" You ask. "Sous, you start."

Sous begins by charging you, attempting to create an opening with energy blasts, once on top of you she uses a flurry of strikes to try and overwhelm you. After dodging for a few seconds you grab her left wrist and parry her right arm, sending the hand you used to parry directly into her stomach. She drops to her knees briefly, then stands up.

"Sanka, you're up."

She tries the same tactic she uses against Caulifla. For a brief time you dodge her attacks. Soon you dash towards her then weave out at the last second, she fumbles and collapses onto the ground, she quickly gets back on her feet, but you had already moved in and slugged her side.

"Brianne, your turn."

Brianne rolls at you recklessly. It was a seemingly stupid and ineffective strategy, but it left no openings and couldn't easily be blocked or countered. You'd either get hit hard or tire yourself dodging. She closed the distance too fast for a normal person to attack with a powerful blast. Your counter involved dodging and using and hitting her with a weak blast at the same time, eventually she stopped rolling as it was futile. Her regular attacks however were slow and easy to read. You caught a punch and shoulder tossed her.

"Now as a group."

Sanka would use her speedy barrage to keep you in place as Sous hit your blind spots with blasts, and any attempt to flee was met with Brianne's rolling attack. It's a great strategy really, but it was dismantled as easily as dodging Brianne. Once you dodged Brianne, Sanka once again started her barrage, but there was enough opening from her movement to defend against Sous, that allowed for a few counter blasts, which were narrowly avoided. The lack of blind spot blasting allowed you to easily counter Sanka. All of this occured as Brianne recovered from a missed roll. Now that it was just Sous and Brianne, you could rush Sous and be left alone by Brianne as her attacks would affect both you and Sous. From that point it was as simple as dealing with them individually.

You had a lot of work to do to get these girls anywhere near the level of Kale and Caulifla.
