Very differently

Lee and his opponent step into one court while Harmony and her opponent step into another. Misaki watches closely as each competitor grasps their opposition's arm and recites the duelist charm. Blue spheres enclose each of them before slowly fading away. The white paving stones pulse and, in a flash, blue walls of light spring up before also disappearing. Standing back to back, each contestant takes twenty steps from the center of their court.

"Begin!" Misaki shouts and everyone quickly turns to face their opposition.

Harmony immediately channels energy and lets loose a barrage of small fire blasts from each hand. The boy tries to dodge to his left but takes a blast to both the legs and chest. He is sent rolling across the ground and his singed clothes fume. As he tries to stand, Harmony lifts her hand in the air and channels again. A large block of ice forms in the air before dropping onto the boy who only seems able to cower behind raised arms. The ice crashes down onto him relentlessly crushing him into submission before shattering into tiny shards that scatter across the court. The blue spheres surrounding each opponent flash and the boy's crumpled body regenerates to its original healthy state. The walls around their court reappear before retracting in on themselves to disappear once again. That was fast, the boy didn't even get a chance to fight back.

Meanwhile, as soon as Misaki called for the start of the match, a cloud of smoke filled Lee's court. It is hard to see who summoned it or what is even happening inside. Gradually, the smoke disperses and it appears that there are three Lees standing in the court while their single opponent presses his hands against the stone floor and channels. Suddenly a spike forms below the Lee that was standing where you had last seen the single Lee, before the smoke filled the court, and impales him, causing him to dissipate into thin air. The other two Lees rush in towards their opponent and one is almost upon the boy by the time he stands back up. Lee's opponent swipes his hand towards the closest Lee with deftness and a fist-sized stone slams into the Lee's chest, sending him crumpling to the ground to vanish like the first. A second later, the final Lee slams into the boy from behind, driving a dagger into his back. The boy slumps to the ground and falls forward.

With the defeated Lees vanished, the remaining original pulls the dagger from his opponent's back. The boy on the ground coughs up blood but places his hands on the stone floor once more. Small spikes of stone spring from the ground and pierce Lee through his feet, causing him to yell out in pain. In a flash, a wall of fire erupts from the ground and Lee's opponent is barely able to roll out of the way before it disappears. Another wall of flames jumps up, again and again, driving to the boy to roll into the outer walls of the court that shimmer blue when he makes contact. A final wall of flame engulfs the boy who curls up in a fetal position as the flames take him.

When the fire dies, the boy is there still curled into a ball. He seems to be fine and his clothes are unburned. He looks at his hands and examines his body with a shocked face. Realizing he is fine, he looks up to see Lee has vanished.

Suddenly, Lee's rock golem familiar appears in the ring moving in a thunderous charge. However, the golem appears much larger than you remember and now stands around six feet tall as it barrels towards the boy. With a horrified look, the boy scrambles to his feet and runs for his life. As he is glancing over his shoulder at the oncoming stone monstrosity, he slams directly into Lee, who seems to have appeared from nowhere, and stops dead. Lee smiles as he looks at his opponent in the eyes. Slowly, the boy tilts his head down to stare at the dagger plunged into his chest.

Staggering backward off the dagger, Lee's opponent watches as blood pours from his chest before dropping to his knees. His hands cup his chest in a vain attempt to stop the bleeding. The blue energy fields flash back into existence and retract into nothingness, as they had with Harmony's duel, and the boy is healed with all the blood having vanished.

"Excellent!" Misaki cheers clapping her hands. "Remember, these are practice matches. So don't get discouraged if you didn't win your first match. Ok, next four. Let's have you and you... And you two there."

You step forward into the dueling court with your opponent. You grasp each other's arm and recite the duelist charm causing the blue protection fields to flash into existence. Standing back to back ready to duel, you think about your approach.
