Dorothy blinks at you. You've never seen the doughty Porter look frightened before, but you've never seen her under the gaze of an angry senior witch.
"Don't worry, Dorothy," you tell her. "I'm sure you're all right. Ms. Sterling is only blaming me."

With Ms. Sterling out of the room, Dorothy sits up, her heavy-framed bed creaking, and looks around her cottage to make sure nothing is out of place.
