Unable to take it anymore, Link sidled over in the bed and wrapped himself against Zelda's back, his hand resting on her cushioned belly. For a few moments, she was entirely still, then she rubbed herself against him, without saying anything. Sharing warmth under the blankets together, two fell asleep happier than either had been in some time.

The next morning, Link awoke to find Zelda already dressed and about to leave. "I have an early appointment, Link. I have to go." Her cheeks blushed a little as she finished with, "Also, I wanted to thank you for last night. It...meant a lot to me." With that she exited the room, leaving Link still in bed, barely awake.

Seeing no point in sleeping the day away, Link got up and stretched, noticing something odd. He walked over to the mirror, and found himself looking very different. He lost a few inches in height, overnight, and his wide shoulders had lost some of their width. In fact, it looked as though he had lost some muscle definition all over his body, leaving him overall looking much softer and more androgynous. Link sighed, then walked over to the table to open the book he had been reading the day before, and continue where he left off.

He was a chapter away from finishing by the time Zelda came back in the evening, and it was only then it occurred to him how voraciously he was reading the text. He'd never been much of a reader before, but now it easily whittled away the hours of the day, and he realized he could recall everything he had read easily with perfect accuracy. He told Zelda about this, and she smiled.
