Link's upraising and morality battled inside him with his newfound hunger, and when the soul and the stomach fight, the stomach always wins. Over his hesitation, Link grabbed the tektite's body and lifted it up to his face, opening his mouth as several of his human-looking teeth extended out into chitinous fangs. Instinctively knowing how his new body fed itself, Link injected the corpse with a toxic to break it down into something more easily digested, then sucked out the whole mess with his fangs. He threw the monster's exoskeleton away, for a moment only able to focus on how good it had tasted, and how it managed to stop his hunger. Then the fact of what he had done hit him, and he stood there awkwardly, unsure of what to do next.
