Running away

It was hard to focus on anything beyond her own nerves. Thea streaked down the hallway in her home, wondering why it suddenly felt like she was always a couple of steps away from tripping up.

"Thea?" Moira called.

Thea squeaked again, jumping, still high. Her first reaction was a sudden panicked remembrance of how scary her mother's clothes had looked. Her second was the realization that her mom had seen her naked, and she really didn't want that to happen again.

Thea ran at a door. She bumped into it, then took a shaky minute to find the doorknob and remember how to use it, before ducking inside.

She needed a moment to catch her breath. She still felt unsteady, shaky, her head light and her eyes wide and her body buzzing. She couldn't quite shake that sense of paranoia that the clothes she'd seen were out to get her, which... wasn't ideal. She glanced down at herself, blushed, and again tried to cover up with her arms, only to miss the important bits.

Oblivious, she took a step forwards. Her mom's voice still echoed behind her. She sounded concerned, but Thea didn't believe it, the **** still making her wary of everything.

She had to get away, somehow, but...

"Thea? It's ok, we can get help," Moira called.

Thea moved away from the door, looking around the room. She jumped as she saw a window. It was night, but still that was clear glass right next to her naked body. Thankfully the grounds of the Queen manor were pretty big, but still...

It was a big window too. If she opened it, she probably could get out. That was an option if she wanted to avoid her mom. But going outside like this? Thea hesitated, the beginnings of clarity starting to reach her mind, remind her of how terrible an idea going outside nude was...

"Thea?"

And then her mom called again and Thea panicked, pushed the window open, and slipped outside, bare feet landing on the cool pavement. She gasped at the shock of the night air as it hit her skin, and then immediately took off in a panicked run, still clutching at her body as if she was doing anything to hide it.
