Naomi picked up the card... and put it back on the stack without looking. "There are some things I think we should know before continuing. Joshua, do you mind if I ask you a few questions?"

"Is this about..."

"No, it's not about the scar."

"Do you not want to continue, Naomi?"

"Yes I do, but these cards have power unknown to modern science. I'm interested in seeing how they work. We've seen that they make the unusual seem normal, but we need to understand how."

Nobody around the room objected. Everyone was curious about the power of the normality cards.

Joshua nodded. "Sure, ask away."

"If you were outside in cold weather, would you put on a shirt?"

"Yes, I would, I wouldn't want to get frostbite."

"I know this would be unusual for you, but can you put your shirt on right now? So I can see that you aren't mentally blocked from it."

Joshua hesitated for a second, but then put his shirt on.

"If there was a law saying that you would be executed for not wearing a shirt, would you still be able to live a happy life?"

Joshua realized what Naomi was trying to understand. "Yes, I think I could, but I would remove it as soon as the law was repealed. Not wearing a shirt is just the default for me. It's what's normal for me. Everyone here knows this." He unbuttoned his shirt again, and set it back on the ground.

"Thank you, Joshua, I think I'm ready to draw my card."

Naomi turned over the card and read. "It is normal to sit comfortably in a short skirt without trying to hide your crotch area." Naomi looked around and saw that Melissa was wearing a short skirt, she gestured to her, and Melissa uncrossed her legs, giving everyone a clear view of the light blue panties in between her smooth, pale thighs. "Yeah, go Melissa!" Naomi blushed, Melissa smiled at her.
