The Operation

The next day came far quicker than either woman realized.

"You'll have to wait on the drinking, dear." Delia cooed as she helped Ava out of bed. watching the lush rouse from her slumber. "We're going to have your vocal cords redone."

Hearing that was enough to get the elderly woman out of bed. Getting dressed in a flash, she joined Delia downstairs. A little breakfast followed.

Taking the form of an egg, both women chowed on down with little talk.

"Ready to go?" Delia inquired, watching Ava nod. Of course, she had forgotten to turn her hearing aids on. Getting a groan, Delia turned them on.

"Of course." Ava answered and headed for the door. Pushing it open, she and Delia exited.

Outside, Pallet Town was much the same as it had been the last couple days. Which made the walk to the clinic all the more boring to some extent. Especially since it was also the local pokemon center.

Inside, it was styled much like a pokemon center.

"Checking in for Ava." Delia explained, watching the Joy at the front nod. After, the pair sat themselves down. Sure, the seats were uncomfortable, but it was better than nothing.

"I'm ready for this." Ava thought, resisting the urge to shut off her hearing aids at the moment. That would only serve to make things harder for her.

"Ava?"

Standing up, Ava made her way over to the door.

"Best of luck!" Delia announced, watching the elderly woman head on through.
