While the single mother always knew her son was destined for great things, this was not what she had in mind. A possible pokemon trainer. Maybe even a champion in his lifetime. But this felt like a complete curveball to it all.

But Delia was willing to see where this went. She had paid her dues back then, what was it like now? A second chance to be the woman she had wanted to be.

"I want to be a bad girl who strikes fear in those that believe Team Rocket is a joke." Ash continued, pumping his chest out as if he had a pair up there. A shame he was a boy rather than a girl. But his gaze still returned to his mom.

"So, what do you think about my idea?"

Delia stayed silent for a couple seconds. While an immediate response would help her child’s question, she needed some time. Well, not really.

"I think that's a wonderful goal, Ashley," she finally answered and watched her son perk up. While the new name was the first thing that came to her, it would do in that moment. But that was judging by the way her son was reacting in that moment. "I just have one question for you."
