A Digidestined from Adventure (Adventure, 02, and tri)

The first seven Digidestined from the Adventure timeline were chosen seemingly by a series of complex coincidences going all the way back to when they were young. The team, led by Taichi Kamiya, eventually added an eight member, Kari Kamiya, who was also a witness to the Hikarigaoka incident.

Taichi "Tai" Kamiya - Taichi is the de facto leader of the group. Strong-willed, brash, and overly-confident, Taichi learns to temper his fiery disposition and become an effective leader for the digidestined. His digimon is Agumon, a dinosaur-like vaccine digimon that shoots fire from its mouth. Taichi bears the crest of courage.

Yamato "Matt" Ishida - Yamato is Taichi's foil. He is calm and collected, but Taichi often brings out Yamato's angst and collected anger. He is overprotective of his brother, Takeru, and the rest of the Digidestined. His digimon is Gabumon, a wolf-like vaccine digimon that expels blue flame from its mouth. Yamato bears the crest of Friendship.

The second set of digidestined are led by Daisuke Motomiya and consist of initially five members, with Kari and Takeru returning to protect the two worlds once again. Later on, the initial main antagonist, Ken Ichijouji, joins the team as their sixth member.
