The mansion appears out of nowhere

You walk and walk along the road, trying your best to not wonder off of the path in the darkness. Even now, you still fail to see any sign of life. A thick fog engulfs everything more than a few yards away, throwing haunting shapes that adds to your tension. After what feels like an hour you wonder if the building you saw existed, or was simply a figure of your imagination. Just as you think about going back, you look to your right and before you cutting through the fog is a large rod iron gate. It is enormous, about 10 feet high by 20 feet wide. The iron work seems amazingly intricate, with built in works of sexual but terrifying demons and vunerable and terrified men and women. While it seems ancient, there appears to be an electrical call box next to the gate.

Behind the gate is a well maintained brick path disappearing into the mist with a large mansion sticking up over the fog and trees. It seems mostly dark except for a single light on in an upper window.
