Reality check

Angelo's mind wandered as he left the barrier, and immediately realized he forgot to put his sword and necklace away. That reminded him, he hadn't checked what new item he received nor had he learned the skill Heaven's Form from the book Secrets of Heaven. He shifted his sword behind his back while checking his phone, it had been in his pocket, luckily it only had a bit of a scuff from his fall on the cage earlier. He had invested in a strong screen protector and case, but never thought it would be put to the test in a combat situation. He verified the time, yep, it had only been 12 minutes since he entered the barrier. Well, this was a surprise, he had a text message from Erin. It had been received roughly a minute ago.

Erin: "Thank you for meeting up with me on such short notice. Jasmine is lucky to have a considerate and handsome man like you as her boyfriend. I am so jealous! XP"

He replied just as the minute ticked over to 12:43 p.m.

Angelo: "I am sure a pretty lady like yourself won't stay single for long. You are sweet, considerate, and lovely to be around. Whoever you end up with would be lucky to have you."

He wondered if he went too far with the compliments, but it was all true, at least in his opinion. He looked around slightly and smiled realizing he was in the same place he entered the illusion barrier. There didn't seem to be anyone around, he opened his inventory and put his sword and necklace away before letting out a breath. He noticed there was a ring in his inventory, but decided to wait until he got back to his apartment to check it out. It was nice to know that it wasn't for a slot he already had filled. He still had room for one more ring, gloves, off-hand, torso, legs, feet, face, and head. Sure, he had that hat for the head and dress for the torso, but there was no way he was going to put on that dress. He felt himself glaring into space before he shook his head and started to head back home.

Angelo heard a weird sound coming from his apartment as he reached the bottom of the stairs. He slowed down while making his way up those steps. To his benefit there were many shadows to help detract from his approach with the help of his newest passive from Shadow Waltz. Just as he made it to his door, it swung open revealing Jana to be the intruder. Her eyes widened realizing almost immediately that he was right in front of her. "Hey sis." He said with a smile when she pounced him, sending him to the ground with a thud. "I missed you so much!" "Planning to be my nurse if anything happens?" He asked, she nodded enthusiastically in response. "I will even bring my nurse outfit, that you said looked good on me. I can't let my little brother be alone and hurting if he is ill or anything of the sort." He felt his dick jerk hearing that. He didn't have that reaction when she had originally worn it, but with his libido as it was, he couldn't help it. He heard his phone's jingle as he received a new text message. "Who is that?" I need to rest before work tonight anyways." She turned his face towards hers, pulling him down to kiss his lips gently. "I love you, more so than your girlfriend ever will." He kissed back, blushing from her words. "I love you too, be careful on your way home." She nodded then walked out.

Angelo closed the door behind her, sighing softly, his dick was still throbbing from the intensity of that moment. "Fuck sis.." He could feel his heart pounding in his chest from nerves. Well, this seemed to be an obvious hit, but he wanted to play it safe.

Angelo: "You could always talk to them about it. Do you know if they have an open relationship or an exclusive one?"

He didn't have long to wait before she replied.

Erin: "Hmm, I do not know. I will get back to you on that. I have some more things to do, but I will text you later."

Hmm, well that was a bit confusing, but hopefully she will be alright.

With texting out of the way for now, he could finally find out what properties that ring had and learn that new form. He started with the Secrets of Heaven, a notification appeared as soon as he pulled it out from his inventory.

Secrets of Heaven: When learned will grant the following skill

Changes the casters body into a Heavenly Suit of Armor granting immunity to physical strikes for the duration.

Time limit: 2 minutes.

Requires 25 Strength, 25 Endurance, and 25 Agility.

Accept or Decline?

He quickly hit accept, his eyes widened, feeling a wave of warmth envelop him as the information poured into his mind. He shook his head slightly before proceeding to take out that ring from his inventory, it was slightly heavy for its size and looked to be made of two metals, one reminded him of silver and the other gold, intertwining along the loop, a red stone with black flecks adorning the top. He used observe on it to give him the real information that he desired.

Wow, this ring was amazing, but its quality was only uncommon? Hm, some of these items must be insane if that is the case. He put it back into his inventory for now. He heard his stomach growl just as he put it away. He checked the time, it was 1:03 p.m. He made something small to eat, he must have worked up a bit of an appetite after fighting all those boars.
