“Well... if I wanted to play, what are my options?” You ask the cute trap, not wanting to dive head first unnecessarily.

“Oh there are a few options for participants. First, you can go in as a diver. You would get one weapon, such as the net, and get a one on one with any mermaid or merman you choose. If you win you can take them in the water, or take them out as a prize. Second, you can do the reverse as a mermaid, and get hunted by a diver. Finally, there is simple fishing with special fishing poles.”

Well that gives you some choices. The mermaids are very elegant, though you don’t know if you would prefer having one at your mercy or being one. The fishing is also curious... you wonder just how that would even work.
