A hidden shortcut should save trouble

You think you know the area well enough that cutting down the dark alley could knock off a few minutes of walking... plus whoever was walking toward you in the distance wouldn’t see you up close. You wobble as quickly as your heels will allow into the dark and foreboding corridor, trying to simply focus on the task of getting home and not the dread of what happens after that...

You soon hear a noise of a bottle being kicked ahead of you, though it is dark enough you can’t tell what the cause is. It does **** you to slow down emmensly as you now tip toe through the alleyway.

Finally you get close enough to the sound to see two peoples outlines in the dark. One is leaning against the wall while the other seems to be talking to them. You are too far to hear them, and they block the only way forward. “Shit” you think to yourself. Atleast if you were on the street you would be humiliated but it’s unlikely anyone would do anything. Here in the dark not only are you bound and helpless, you couldn’t run away do to these stupid heels... well you could just try to hurry by and hope they aren’t creeps or are distracted, or you could head back to the road...
