Arrival at home 1

After that scary encounter, we made it to my house. Being the ever cautious guy, I had my doors and windows double locked. Well, I didn't lock them myself but, for some strange reason, Robin not only locked down the house, she also rushed back to the couch where I was resting. "Oh, my head. What happened?" When I spoke, Robin heard me and rushed to my side, and had an ice pack in her hand. "It's alright, Dan. You're safe now, my son." "Wait, I'm not your son. My parents are on an extended business trip." "Dan, I know this is hard for you to hear, but the people you think are your parents aren't who you think they are." The way she spoke was not only gentle and warm, but also dead serious. Upon hearing what she said, my mind started to shatter. Memories of people and places that I didn't recognize started to flood into my head. Afterwards, I just stood there in shock. "Th-this can't be real. I-I-I can't believe it." This was way too much for me to process in one night. Before I knew it, I started crying. "S-S-So my whole life is a lie." That was when I felt Robin's arms wrap around me. The embrace felt so warm, as if I felt it before when I was younger. "Shhh, it's okay sweetie. Mommy's here and I'm never leaving you again." After she said those words, my body felt relaxed and at peace. Yet as I started to succumb to sleep, I started to wonder how I got separated from her in the first place.
